It doesn’t look like anything special; nonetheless, I was pleasantly impressed. The menu looks like a parody — the sections are incoherent and it’s not clear what it’s aiming for. Whizzing from build-your-own-wraps to pancakes to bow tie pasta(yes, that’s a section), it epitomises the menu you were always warned about, where a restaurant tries its hand at everything(and is doomed to inevitable failure). The items themselves don’t encourage much hope — if I remember correctly, there’s a «Brazil» omelette, which is cheddar and ham. Huh? I therefore ordered my American pancakes(with«maple flavoured» syrup) with some reservations. I was therefore rather pleased to find them fluffy and tasty, with very generous portions of cream as well as a whole jug of syrup(a welcome addition considering other establishments in the area will charge you £2.50 extra if you want more than a cursory drizzle). The vanilla milkshake, which uses Marine Ices ice cream, was also delicious, and the best I have had in the area. The atmosphere is lacking and it doesn’t make me want to to linger terribly — still, it’s the best place I’ve been for brunch in the immediate area, despite the better looks of most of the rest of the street.

This is a nice laid-back place in Primrose Hill with a good menu filled with salads, omelettes, sandwiches and sweet and savory crepes. It has vast outdoor seating for a nice day which makes for good people watching. The service is a bit spotty, but all of the waitstaff was extremely friendly. While the food is nothing to rave about – it was all good and well-prepared. So if you need a basic, casual, comfortable friendly place to have a coffee and some food and chat with friends after a stroll, this is the place to do it.

I came here recently for a quick lunch. I ended up having the tomato mozzarella salad which was great, although simple and exactly what you’d expect. The service was kind, although it took nearly 40 minutes to get in and out, of which maybe 15 was eating. It was a hot day and at least 1⁄3 of the customers had some sort of blended coffee drinks that looked delicious — next time!

Perfectly good neighbourhood spot to get a sandwich or breakfast. Smoothies seem popular here too but did not try. My BLT with avocado was decent. Bagel with salmon also worked.

We were sent away after being seated because we only wanted coffee, and we were asked to order food as well or we couldn’t occupy a table. The venue was not full. It would have been nice if we would’ve been told before, or if we would have simply gotten service as one should when asking for a product they sell. Not coming back to this chaotic place.

Their website gives no impression of the café. It’s really a nice simple place, with drawings on the walls, good coffee and delicious food. And Primrose Hill is just a few steps away, for one of the best views over London!

Cute little spot, we originally were only looking for a quick take away sandwich, but as a spot opened on the side walk right in front of us, we snatched it up and settled in for a cappuccino and a meal. Our cappuccinos were nice and strong, and I was quite pleased with the short stack of pancakes which were light and fluffy, if a bit thin, and some wonderfully light but rich organic egg scramble. Our savoury crêpe, batter hinting of vanilla and light but still textured, with ham and cheese, while just a tad heavy on the cheese, was also satisfying. However, their ‘maple syrup’ was. well, not maple syrup. You can’t fool a Canadian on this subject, and I did give the waiter a little wink about it… she seemed oblivious to the difference, which is not too surprising around here, but maybe they need to reword their menu to ‘breakfast syrup’. The only other thing we noticed was a little spotty was the service, who, although didn’t keep us waiting too long, was a little schizophrenic and ill coordinated amongst themselves. They were all pretty young, and all went well in the end, but it’s worth noting. (I’m not sure why, but the Unilocal map is wrong in this profile. it should be just off of Primrose Hill park, not deep into Chalk Farm territory.)

A good place to start the saturday. Take a newspaper and just enjoy, starting with a salmon-creamcheese-cucumber-bagel, a hot chocolate, later another one and a pancake, that morning can last forever. And if you need a colourful gift this is the place to go. Give it a try Oh and I almost forgot their cheesecake its delicious, seriously

Pop in here for a snack(great crepes) and a coffee(they do lovely iced coffees too). They have tables outside all year around, you can sit here with your pooch and watch the world go by. More expensive than some of it’s neighbours. Inside and downstairs they also sell gifts, cards, childrens toys.

I actually mostly used to come to this café because I heard that Damon Albarn(my alltime teenage heartthrob) came here as Blur’s studios used to be around the corner. In my, sadly unsuccessful, stalking phase, I discovered that they do actually sell some pretty tasty stuff in this café, including milkshakes made from Marine Ices ice cream and nice crepes. It is a little bit full of yummy mummys but you couldn’t really expect anything less in this part of town.
