Évaluation du lieu : 4 Shoreditch, London, United Kingdom
Let me preface this by saying that I know you’re all thinking: it’s a newsagent, how exciting can it be? Well the Calvert Newsagent is quite a find. A newsagent with very friendly staff, a good selection of magazines and, strike me down, the facility to top up Oyster Cards. East Londoner’s should appreciate the rarity of such a find. This is an area in which you can find 700 incarnations of the humble fifties prom frock in Shoreditch’s multitude of vintage shops but tracking down a pint of milk, a cash machine, or somewhere to top up an Oyster Card can be a nightmare. My go-to place for just about everything, the guys that run this place might charge a few pence more for items than the Guven corner-shop further down Calvert Avenue but with service — and services — this good, who the hell cares.
