Like most branches of Costa, the staff are generally slow. For coffee in a hurry, try anywhere else! There’s a staff discount for people who work in the building, although how much I couldn’t say because they have an aversion to printing receipts. Very busy at peak times, with tables rarely cleared. It’s somewhere you go out of convenience rather than choice. At unpopular times(i.e. after the morning and after the lunch rushes), you can hang out with your laptop/tablet without being chased away. Not that I’d recommend it, but I’ve actually seen someone eating their own food here before and using it as a free wifi spot — the staff aren’t attentive enough to notice. A coffee and sandwich is around £5/£6 without local discount. Distinctly average.

This is one of the better Costa Coffee places. It looks new and recently outfitted. The great thing about this particular branch is it is spacious for a Costa Coffee. You are guaranteed to find a place to seat. There are more seats in the little courtyard at the back. You can sit down the entire day here if you want too. No one will bother you. The WiFi is free for 2 hours but it is unlimited however if you are a Costa Club member. The only downside to this place is the temperature the yank up the heating too a uncomfortably high level, frequently.

Old, run down, dirty, and not well kept. Dirt on the walls, the floor, the bathroom area and bathroom were in poor shape. Not gross, but get me in and out without touching anything. No atmosphere, the staff had better staff service than customer service, and I did not want to linger after my tea. Two floors and WiFi is only free if you have a phone you can send a code to and then download. So if you don’t have a phone in the UK, no WiFi for free.

Nothing injects energy in to a day of shopping like a properly made double espresso. The St. Christopher’s Place shopping area is a thin, hidden alley away from Oxford Street and this coffee spot is at the end on the right. Don’t miss it!

It’s a Costa Coffee, the coffee is good, the selection of cakes is OK, I particularly like the Caramel Shortbread, but I find it hard to get excited about this chain coffee place. Doesn’t scream«come sit in here and have a nice time», nor does it scream«this place is awful, stay away!»…it is just a pretty soulless room that does decent coffee. Come here, get a coffee, it’s good. Yes this review is bland… it’s meant to be, it’s like a Costa Coffee outlet… get it?

This is the Costa closest to my workplace. Hmm. I can’t really say more than this? It seems AOK every time I go there… but I much prefer a cuppa joe from Nordic Bakery. It’s directly across the street from Starbucks, the dueling chains. However, they have A LOT of seating both within Costa and behind it(spilling into 55 Baker Street atrium/courtyard) so when seating runs out at nearby shops, one can come here and be almost guaranteed a spot. It’s nothing to write home about, but it does in a pinch. You know what to expect, at the very least… right? Right. *accepts cash, cards. *food options limited, better nearby. *the chai is super sweet. *the hot cocoa is a winner. *free wifi via O2.
