Dalston Kingsland

This is a really small overground station and therefore it is really easy to find your train. It’s not like all the underground stations where you walk 20min through an underground labyrinth for a 5min ride on the tube after.
I like it that it is so small it kind of reminds me of some of the swiss train stations which is a compliment I guess.

this station is part of the new overground service connecting Dalston to richmond and other parts of London. Slightly annoying if the doors shut on these trains before you can get yourself on-​there is no point pressing the button because the door will not open again as I discovered.

A means to an ends, if you journey is to start or finish in or around the A10 north of Shoreditch and south of Tottenham. This station is now part of London overground, but still suffers from the poor service provided by these trains which are often late and unreliable. This station is good because of its local amenities like the market and shopping centre by day and the bars and restaurants that surround it at night.
The station has barriers, takes oyster cards and is staffed. There is no shop or toilets inside, but taking this route might be useful as the nearest tube station (old street) is about a 5 minute bus ride away.
