Very excellent food, cheap as dirt prices, and a beyond friendly and courteous staff. If you are staying in northeast London, you owe at least one trip here. Especially if you are hungover.

Definitely a nice place to sit, spend some there either relaxing, talking to friends or just having a very nice coffee /meal. :) The staff are so so friendly, it’s impossible not feel like they are one of your long time friend.

Great flat white, ’nuff said. If you’re in the area and in need of great coffee or some appropriate paraphernalia for your home, this is the spot.

We wandered over here this weekend after pushing our way through the Columbia Road Flower Market(oof). It certainly doesn’t look like much, but we were blessed to find cover here right as the clouds opened up and let loose a sideways freezing rain. I’d already caffeinated en force that morning, so we both opted for hot cocoa(fine) and toasties(whoa, so good). It took some time to get the toasties. I know what you’re thinking, «cheese + bread, how hard could that possible be». And I’m here to tell you that, holy wow, it was absolutely worth the wait. They threw in some lovely herbs and brought the whole thing together with a beschamel sauce. Gooey, hot, cheese crisped up on the edges. Perfection. The place lacks a little elbow room but it does have good service and a pretty decent looking brunch menu. We’ll be back!

Great toasties here at a very decent price. The hot chocolate is also great. This place is good for a quick break of youre strolling around shoreditch. The service is very nice and friendly although could be slightly faster. The only real drawback is the real estate — is very small and crammed. So not necessarily a place where you would hang for hours. Also they don’t have any newspapers which I was sorry of missing. They did have a nice old car encyclopedia though which kept my attention for a while.

Stumbled across this café from the«bean hunter» app! Great little place it’s always so busy and the coffee is delicious, I’m so happy it’s situated around the corner from home as it satisfies my coffee addiction!

One of my favorite brunch exchanges to date: Friend: «do you have fresh squeezed OJ?» Server: «Yes.» Friend: «Great, I’ll definitely have that.» Server(looking a little curious): «I mean, we don’t squeeze it here, but it is squeezed by someone.» Friend: «okkkk, umm. Aren’t most juices squeezed somewhere?» Server: «No, I mean its squeezed by hand, just not IN here.» Friend: «Ok, I’ll take my chances.» Verdict: It was good! So, no need to worry even if their OJ isn’t fresh-squeezed INHOUSE, it’s fresh-squeezed somewhere and that’s all we really need to know. But honestly you likely did not end up at Embassy East for the orange juice. You were probably in search of coffee, coffee brewing instruments, respite from Hoxton Street Market, or just wanted a bit of brunch or tea. All of these things can be had… it’s a true little darling of a place, just past the end of Hoxton Street Market. Just far enough where I’d never popped past it. I was searching Unilocal for an acceptable Hoxton brunch place and noticed the reviews for EE and so we gave it a whirl, and it definitely delivered. Legit brunch! The salmon, egg and beetroot on toast goes down a treat. My pals both ordered from the extensive list of toasties and were very pleased. The tea was lovely, the coffee is their speciality though. Friendly staff(see exchange above! So honest!) and the vibe is laid back. It’s a bit tight in here so not great for groups, but a really nice spot for a simple(yet delightful) meal and some caffeine to kickstart your day. Also, it’ll likely be cheaper than it appears. It’s pretty«high end» feeling without the price tag. Well done!

Definitely believe the reviews here — this place for me gets 5 stars. Definite hipster coffee spot. Right on Hoxton Street and is probably one of the first shops on the road which has started the gentrification. The coffee shop itself is quite small, especially when you look at it from the outside however there is also seating behind the kitchen — still, it can be hard to find a seat during peak brunch hours. I came at 11:30a on a Sunday and there was no issue finding a seat. Service is great — everyone was super friendly and patient, especially when I was waiting for a friend to show up — didn’t feel like anyone was hurrying me up to make an order. I got eggs on toast with some special tomato sauce(can’t remember the name) it was good and wasn’t terribly expensive. They’re big on coffee so they have loads of coffee gadgets and sell different bags of coffee from independent roasters to Monmouth. Prices are good and service is great, I’ll definitely be coming again.

Embassy East has a seemingly typical setup for a Hoxton café, a dowdy commercial space filled with wooden tables, old metal stools, hip hop soundtrack and Macbook-using customers. Unlike typical Hoxton cafés it has Workshop coffee and an array of brewing methods. I went for a Chemex and was. somewhat underwhelmed. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t the OMG-this-is-incredible sensation that I’ve had at the likes of Talkhouse. I’d definitely return, but would probably try an espresso-based coffee next time(given the Flat White background of the baristas here).

This place is the definition of awesome. We’ve been searching for a good all day breakfast place since arriving in London a year ago and this little gem has come through with the goods…

I love this café! The coffee is great and the food is delicious :-) I’m working my way through their menu and have so far tried the coffee, lemonade, granola, banana bread, cheese toastie and poached eggs; ALLWEREAMAZINGLYTASTY! This places is also excellent value for money. The staff are efficient and super friendly too. I would highly recommend this place to anyone for breakfast, brunch, lunch, snack, or coffee! Decisions decisions… what will I try next time?

Friendly staff, nice simple layout, great coffee, tasty food, open on Sunday. Great neighborhood place. My bacon and egg sandwich in particular was delicious, and so big I couldn’t finish it.

My husband and I have been testing out brownie and flat white combinations in London for the past few months now, and we have yet to find a coffee shop that sells a better brownie than Embassy East. Their brownies are perfectly moist, have a decadent chocolate-y taste, and just melt in your mouth. Can chocolate be ‘divine’? In this case, certainly! To add to that, I can’t find much fault in anything else. The flat whites are smooth and full of flavour, the staff are friendly, and the music is set to a good volume that allows for comfortably talking with companion(s) or focusing on a book or your work. Great vibe. But I can’t really speak for the food — or actually for any of the other snacks — because I’ve been so attached to their brownies. But, really, coffee and chocolate — what more do you need?

Recently I went off to explore a few new places in East London. When I was looking for Embassy East, I first walked past without noticing it. It is not difficult to find, but it is simply not a huge place. After I finally found it, I ordered a flat white and was very happy with what I got. Embassy East is a beautiful little coffee shop, that goes well beyond coffee. They also offer some warm savoury snacks and of course something sweet as well. I think, Embassy East is another welcome addition to London’s coffee scene and a great hangout when you are in the area.
