Franco Manca

I celebrated a friend’s birthday here on Wednesday. It was a great location. The staff are really kind and thoughtful. We were in the second half of the restaurant, which is like this shed extension. The staff provide blankets, but with the oven and people the place was plenty warm enough. For a Wednesday night, this place was super busy!
The food was quite good, but there was really two set vegetarian pizzas. You can custom make pizzas, but I would have liked more veggie options. However, the pizza I had was fantastic. I think that it’s easily one of the best pizzas that I’ve ever had! Everyone in my party was happy with the food and service. I definitely recommend this place.
One other thing to note. The prices for the food was very cheap as a full pizza and beer was only a tenner. For how good this place is they could charge WAY more! It’s nice to eat out without breaking the bank.
They don’t do reservations so I wouldn’t recommend this place for busy nights for big parties. However, on a Wednesday my party of 8 had no trouble being seated and barely had to wait. I was a bit worried that we’d have to wait a long time but this wasn’t the case.

Stunning Pizza with an amazing base — great atmosphere and reasonably priced. Looking forward to going back again and recommending to others.

Mixed salad
«no logo» pale ale and lager
I’d never heard of Franco Manca before this place opened and it took a while to get a table (they don’t take reservations). The pizzas are on a sourdough base which is lighter and less filling. The pizza had a great balance of base and toppings. Not too much cheese and the chorizo consisted of several large and juicy chunks. Really very tasty all round! Service was good and the pizzas came very quickly. A big, big round of applause must go to them for giving bottles of tap water without asking!
