Regular pub, nothing special, gets quite busy with ‘after work’ drinks with people that work in the area. 2 minute walk from St. James park tube station, but you have a lot of choice for places to go for a drink in that area. Would drink here again but it’s not as fun as places like the Windsor which is round the corner from here.

Popped in here one chilly Saturday afternoon for a pint and a light bite. It was empty so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. We got a warm spot by the window and enjoyed a pint, jacket potato, and bbq wings. Everything was just ok. Not good enough to come back for but not so bad that we were disappointed in our choice. It did the job and when we finished we moved on. Probably more of a spot to have a few drinks rather than have a meal.

Just a regular pub, nothing special nothing terrible. Maybe a bit larger inside than the normal pub, with plenty of room to stand, separated from the table area fairly well. They also have a few TV’s — not overwhelming but there. Good service, nice people working there. Food was ok at best, we just had a couple of snacks to pass the time though. The food did come quickly, and was hot — always a plus I think. Just slightly off the main drag, so prices, while still high, are less than a couple of other places in the area. Just an average place to grab a drink

Nothing special. It definitely has the look of a traditional British pub, which is good. The food, though, was mediocre. Burger was passable, French fries stayed on our plate after the first sample. Sausage & mash were drenched in goopy gravy. Fosters was really the only good part of the meal!

Well considering it’s location and prices, it’s not bad. Typical pub but with old looking furnishings. Probably more for the locals but I was there at around 7 pm and it was pretty empty. Maybe had 3 other tables occupied. The food was pretty good as I have the pulled pork sandwich. Nothing special. The price is a bit cheaper than something Albert one block down which had the same exact menu!

Enjoyed a few afternoon pints with my son while watching the England-Italy rugby match and the food was pretty good, too. We shared the fish and chips and experimented with the veggie beet and goat cheese burger, and both hit the spot on a cool and rainy London afternoon.

This is our work local. They might as well take down the sign and stick a big owl over the door. It’s really not the most glamorous or unique* of pubs, but the staff are super friendly and never seem to mind how much we amble drunkenly up to the bar. The only downsides are that they close at the ridiculously early time of 11.30. This does mean we can catch the last tube home, but who wants to do that?! Also the food is dubious, and they lack an understanding of what a large chips looks like. * Like all pubs like this, it’s like they bought it from a ‘traditional English pub’ starter kit. Same signage, same décor, same menu.

Didn’t know the British did sushi. Our cod and chips arrived cold and raw in the middle. It took almost 20 minutes to get a new plate. The pea returned were inedible. The manager made no effort to make up for almost giving us food poisoning.

This place was one of the best places to eat and drink in London out of the all the places that we went to. Food was as good as we had in London. It is typical overpriced London bar food but I enjoyed the bar itself. Prices were average for the area. I liked the atmosphere and would have no issue drinking at the bar for the night.

Nice décor made me initially wonder why I’d never been to this place — ordered food and found out. Waiter repeatedly misunderstood my order(even telling me they didnt sell it when it was on the menu!) and kept having to go back and forth to the kitchen(inexplicably taking 10 minutes each time) until he just stopped coming back, at which point I went to find the manager, who sorted out in 10 seconds after I had been sitting there for 30 minutes with the rest of my food gone cold. Now I am quite a patient person, he was clearly new staff, but was annoyed more by the attitude of the waiter(rolling his eyes as if it was my fault) and the manager(not even an attempt at an apology). To top it all off the food was pretty dire, really best avoided even when everything else goes right. They even managed to make my apple pie taste rubbish — HOW?!

No. Keep going. Tourist trap. When banners flank the chalkboards saying«REALBRITISHFOOD&DRINK!» you can almost certainly ascertain that it does not indeed mean«REALLYGOODBRITISHFOOD&DRINK.» No, in fact the food is pretty crap. They obviously don’t try very hard. The platters(we had a hungry group that needed a bite to eat to tie us over) were lackluster, no plates were brought so we ended up eating off napkins. Boo. The fish was lacking any flavor, we got a weird quiche, some fruit and a bunch of fried things. There is a whole infographic type illustration at the entrance that takes 6 steps to say«seat yourselves and order at the bar» which leads me to believe there are many tourists that fell into the same trap as I. Not a fan. Will not return. Do not suggest it. There are better options. Keep looking.

Just one of the same usual chain pubs, sticky and greasy tables and menus, the same menu choices as all the other pubs around, limited and similar beer choice Very strong smell of brasso or something similar on Saturday night, so strong in fact I had to sit right by the front open door . Head for wetherspoons, better menu and value and more beer choice

Chain pub, which gets very busy on Friday night with local work crowd. Quiet during the days and easy to get served at the bar. Food is a complete miss though, so avoid. Has 2 bars, the downstairs available for private hire.
