It is summer, and summer means being outside in any amount of sunshine.
This place is a pub, but a pub with a sizable back patio (granted it is not scenic, it is still outside!). And for this back patio, I will return. Not a destination, but if you are in the area and want a pint outside (the interior decoration is a notch above as well, with lots of design magazines around to read), you might want to give this a try.

I mostly agree with the below comments. The pub/​restuarant has the potential to be really nice, good décor, good location, but they failed a little on service and food (rather worrying considering they list themselves as a gastropub).
A party of four of us went for an early lunch, the pub was empty when we arrived but it still took a good 15 minutes for them to take our orders at the bar.
Fishfinger sandwich looked really good, but the rest of the food didn’t turn out as well. My filo pastry parcel was neither filo pastry nor a parcel, and it tasted like the veg came straight out of a tin.
Good cider though :)

I went here to have a drink with a friend in the bar downstairs. The pub is kind of old style with a real pub atmosphere. As we were both hungry and it was raining outside we asked to see the menu for the restaurant which was upstairs and decided to give it a try.
The place was sort of old fashioned but had a charm to it. I suppose the menu is European but very upscale with wines recommended to each meal. cool.
I skipped the interesting starters and ordered the pork belly main course which I really enjoyed. I even chose the accompanying wine to compliment the pork.
They had some interesting deserts and although I did not have one I could see on a table close to us that they looked fantastic and very tempting.
The only criticism I have was the over enthusiastic service, it made you feel abit uncomfortable. It would probably have been unnoticed if the place was busy but there were only a couple of tables being used.
The food took quite a long time coming so if in a rush, don’t go here. Still I recommend the quality and the old fashioned atmosphere.
