Hotel Xenia

A very good value. Great location near 3 underground stops (Earl’s Court, Gloucester Road and S Kensington). Easy walk to Natural History, Science and V&A museums and not a bad walk to Harrods. Service was excellent (a tiny bit stuffy for this type of hotel but very efficient). Room was small, what you would expect in London, but clean. Even a nightly turndown with a little snack. Only annoyance was they did not replace the soap when housekeeping came by. Great value, even better given the location.

The room was quite small but very well furnished, very, very comfortable beds. The area is great, there’s a bus that’ll take you straight to Harrod’s just across the street and the tube is only a short walk away as well.
The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. I lost an earring that is very dear to me and after searching the room several times, I was sure I’d lost it outside and would never see it again. Housekeeping found it God knows where the next morning and left it on the desk, I couldn’t believe it. My friend forgot her watch in the lobby bathroom before we got on our way to the airport, and I had an email letting us know they’d found it and were keeping it safe almost before we even noticed the watch was missing.
I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels and really, on a city trip, how much time do you really spend there? As long as the room is clean and the bed is comfortable, I’m fine. The staff at Hotel Xenia turned a weekend that could well have become the trip where both my friend and I were stupid and lost something very dear to us into a weekend we’ll keep raving about for a long time.

I had a Do Not Disturb sign by door 3x to stop maid service from coming into my room but all 3x, they took it down and made up my room. I purposely had the sign up so I can leave the room as is and keep some sort of privacy. I also asked for an ironing board on Monday and wanted to keep it all week. The next morning, the hotel took it away. UGH!!!

Lovely hotel the staff is friendly and very helpful. our room is a good size and the bed is comfortable we have a balcony with a small table and chairs
The underground station is a short walk from here there are two markets and several places to eat.
