My first impression was around four stars. Nice, spacey room with well equipped bar and lively atmosphere. Menu looked also very promising. Large assortment of appetizers, nicely described mains and few desserts. Though the magic was gone once food started to arrive on our table… Appetizers were very basic, some ham and cheese. Best was avocado bruschetta. Squids were gummy. Though al of this was still better than mains. Turkey described as «Free-range one stuffed with prosciutto & provolone, breadcrumbed & topped with a free-range egg & black truffle» was a regular wienerschnizel with no signs of prosciutto nor truffle. And even if it was somewhere hidden, had no effect on taste. The steaks were nice, but only one person got it right. Two people that ordered blue, got medium2well. And we have waited ages to get the dishes, even though it was Sunday and the restaurant was half empty. So all in all great potential, but quality wise we have all expected much more. Especially after seeing smiley Jamie looking at us from the restaurant’s website. Well, reality does not follow imagination.

Hopefully this is the correct restaurant. We ate at Jamies(one of Jamie Oliver’s restaurants) attached to the Hilton Tower Bridge. We had breakfast at ate the buffet. It was included with the hotel but costs £20 or around $ 32, a fortune for breakfast but actually not out if line with other business hotels I have stayed at in England on business. Usually a proper breakfast is in the $ 20’s which in my mind is crazy considering dinner at any restaurant much cheaper. I think it is a get rich quick scheme or eggs are like gold. Still this was an all you can eat buffet and the food quality was excellent! I Was totally satisfied. I am pretty athletic, work out and run allot and can eat allot and left perfectly full. But also mentally satisfied due to the food quality AND offerings. You can have the meal English style with tomatoes, mushrooms and baked beans with your eggs or leave them out and have it American style(although the bacon and sausage is different here). So a full hot meal is available with eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns but they also have yogurt, granola, cereal, toast, pastries, salami, ham, cheese, salmon and other fair. I tried almost everything. Expensive but you will leave full and satisfied. This was breakfast not dinner and I have eaten at Jamie Olivers Italian restaurant when on business once in Piccadilly Circus in London and it was average at best, but this breakfast at this location was great.
