We had received an experience voucher as a Christmas gift so headed off in anticipation of a 3 course meal which was already paid for. The set menu was a bit limited however so we ended up upgrading our steaks for a supplement. By the time you have added on the supplement charge and sides(the steaks don’t come with anything) then it does all add up. However the food we had was delicious so we didn’t mind that we had to pay more. Steaks were well cooked and juicy and the starters lovely too.

I will definitely be returning, the staff were so attentive and pleasant. The food looked and tasted fab. In fact, my friend even said that it was the best steak he has had in a very long time.

I feel like this restaurant has all the assets of a great restaurant, attentive staff, good food, very modern interior… But there is something missing here. The atmosphere was lacking and slightly austere. The food was great my partner and I both had the steak and asked for it rare. My partners was more blue, but this was great in his eyes so everyone was happy. We accompanied this with Spinach and some triple cooked chips that were devilishly hot but wonderfully crunchy on the outside and tender in the middle! If I was to go and spend a little more money on a meal, I think I would have enjoyed it in a more intimate surroundings with touch less white leather. However as we went using a groupon voucher we couldnt really complain. Sadly I haven’t seen their normal menu as the groupon one was a separate set list. All in all with the groupon voucher for 2 of us to have steak with 1 beer and 1 wine it cost around £60.

Went there on Friday night 6.30 without booking. Had gravadlax slices of salmon with a hint of hebs for the starter, steak and large chips for main and Eton Mess dessert. Glass of wine and bottle of water £67 in total ouch. Food is fine although there was no sauce with thsteak and chips so chips were bland and more like roasts. Service was good but was a little rushed. Wine incl above was £9 a large glass.

What an awful place, food was really bad, the steak was really cheap and cooked badly, staff were rude, I would never consider going there even if it was a free meal, waste of an evening and money!!! They really need to sort themselves out if they want custom Poor poor poor :-(

came for the steak, left disappointed. why is finding a good steak so hard? i would compare meal to a mass market chain but for exhorbitant price. ambience was OK and staff were attentive and pleasant. if you want a great steak go elsewhere. disappointing that an establishment with MPWs name on the door doesn’t deliver to standard. Be warned: if you have a buyagift voucher service gets added onto the price of the voucher !!

A few weeks back I was in London for a business trip and I met up with a few friends there for dinner on a Saturday night. We got there a bit earlier so they told us to go downstairs near the bar to wait there and have some drink. But the bar area had a full table of guests celebrating a birthday. So essentially the 4 of us had our backs nearly on their table! Not a great arrangement. We ordered steaks since it’s the steakhouse. I have to say it’s not bad but can’t compare to the steak houses in NY or Brazil or Argentina. The bill was large for what its worth I thought so perhaps I was not used to the EU prices. Overall, it’s a lively place and friendly place, but not worth it for its price.

I feel a bit mean giving 4 instead of 5 stars since I had a very enjoyable meal with only a couple of little quibbles. We arrived at 1.30pm without a booking but things were quiet and we had a seat at the open front of the restaurant so could watch the world going by on a warm afternoon. We had a Groupon voucher, so the choice was limited but having been tempted by the Spatchcock Chicken, I decided to have the rib-eye steak, like my companion. I rarely eat steak because I prefer something that has been slaved over, includes ingredients I wouldn’t normally have at home and comes with a fancy sauce. Also, I find steak can be too much effort to chew through! No such problems here our steaks were meltingly tender, came with a nice home-made bearnaise sauce and the triple-cooked chunky chips were light, crispy and fluffy inside perfect! The steak came with a portobello mushroom and half a tomato and we paid extra for the chips and a bowl of very fresh leaves in dressing. The champagne cocktails were very good but the glass of red wine we had ordered, never arrived. With my partner’s food half-eaten, he didn’t bother to remind the waiter. Apart from his forgetfulness, the waiter was friendly and helpful. We chose Eton Mess and a Sticky Toffee Pudding. As another review said, the Eton Mess was too rich. It consisted mainly of whipped cream and fresh raspberries but there was little evidence of meringue. The Sticky Toffee pud was heaven! It was made with dates, as it should be, the sauce was delicious and it was served with a small ball of a very good quality vanilla ice-cream which I requested rather than cream, which I thought would be just too rich. A great meal, although my partner started to look distinctly green later on, which we put down to the richness of the Eton Mess following the triple-cooked chips. Definitely recommended if you fancy a simple, well cooked steak meal.

It’s not bad, but it’s not great. We went here on a Groupon deal and if it weren’t for that then it would’ve been extremely overpriced. Steak was decent, but I’ve had better, notably at Brasa and Buenos Aires in Fulham. They also overcook their steaks, which is in sharp contrast to every other steak place I’ve been to in England where they seem to undercook them. I’ve taken to ordering my steaks here medium rather than my preferred medium rare to compensate for that, but at this place my medium steak came out medium-well, and my wife’s medium-well steak came out well done(which ironically means not at all well done.) Eton Mess is highly recommended for dessert.

I’m torn between three and four stars for the King’s Road Steakhouse, but I guess I’m in a generous mood. Having booked a table for 9pm, it was a little disappointing to turn up and discover that our table wasn’t going to be ready for 20mins — if they had called to let us know we could have happily gone somewhere nice for a drink beforehand, but we ended up going to the nearest(not nice) place for a swift half instead(more on that in separate review — Beaufort House). Anyway, when we returned our table — on the nice mezzanine level — was ready, and we were told which dishes on the menu were valid with our two-course Groupon deal. The choice was pretty big, but since we were in a steak house it seemed rude not to go for that. I’m very glad I did — the steak was a stunning medium-rare. Deliciously pink and tender, but not at all bloody. It had been grilled to perfection, basically. The triple cooked chips were immense as well. Desserts weren’t quite at the same level — my Eton mess wasn’t sweet enough with too much cream and not enough meringue. However, having quaffed a potent champagne cocktail, which was included in the deal, by the time desserts were served I wasn’t paying too much attention to the food, anyway. All in all the restaurant was pleasant, and the steak was awesome. However, the service was a little slow(maybe because we were pre-paid customers?) and a phone call about the delayed table would have been nice. I’d be tempted to go back for the steak, I must say.

i completely agree with the other comments. classy restaurant, awesome service. not only does it blow the average english service out of the water, but i would venture to say that it compares very well to non-english service. they definitely should consider dropping«steakhouse» from the restaurant name. i loved the chicken. mashed potatoes was a bit too close to baby food consistency for me but i like chunky mash. roasted pork belly was tender and flavorful. wine list is targeted to the british palette(young and sweet). truly, the best thing about this restaurant is reliable food and incredible service. the place was full of groupon holders like us but the staff didn’t miss a beat. in fact, they were ready for the crowd. and with groupon, the restaurant also had some characters in there… i believe some would guess they’re from essex… and service was still impeccable. kudos to the staff!

Don’t be fooled by the ‘Steakhouse & Grill’ title, this restaurant has a great selection of food from fish to pasta and salads, but as the name does suggest they specialize in a good steak. We ate there early on a quiet week night so the crowd buzz was missing, our table by the window(which open onto the street) was comfortable but a little crammed in the corner. The wait staff were very attentive with a good sense of humor(although the greeter was a little vacant). I ordered the fillet steak, it was perfectly cooked and really delicious, the side veggies were good also, I also had the fries(chips) which were super crunchy and outstandingly good. I can’t remember what my three companions ordered but I do remember a seated yummy dance from one of them, so I’m guessing their food was as good as mine. Great décor in the London bistro style, sophisticated but casual décor set over two levels. I recall a fine wine list as well. Although I am English I live in the States so cost for me is always high when eating out in the UK, but it seemed good value all told with main dishes around the £12.50-£16.50 mark. Would I go back? Yes, I recommend you try this place, check online for special offers, I’ve seen 50% off deals to eat here!

After bagging a cheap deal on , I found myself her eon Saturday night. The restaurant has something to do with Marco Pierre White but I’m not sure what — it’s not part of his chain, but his name is part of it. I’m confused, but £10 for two courses at a fancy restaurant is a good way to make me happy. It’s at the far end of the King’s Road, so either jump on a bus from Sloane Square, or get off at Fulham Broadway. The good service started from before we arrived — they called to confirm my booking and to ask if they could move it by half an hour. As a thank you, they gave us a free glass of bubbly(and I’m pretty sure it was bubbly not just cava). Impressive. The food was outstanding. Really really good. The pork belly starter I had was lovely and the chicken main was moist and tasty. Great triple cooked chips served in cute little mini chip pans(I need to find me some of those). Service was friendly and faultless and just fun enough to make us smile without being annoying. Being seated by the window on Hallowe’en was rather fun too — we did actually see a yeti drive by in a pink Cadillac. But they fall just short of five stars for me. It’s only little things, but as a steakhouse, it annoyed me that they didn’t put steak on the £10 menu. Yes it’s more expensive, but a choice of three dishes is a little stingy in my book. If you’re a steakhouse, I don’t think any menu should be without steak. And as nice as the chicken was, it certainly wasn’t half a chicken like it said on the menu. We also have no side plates for our bread and got crumbs everywhere. But I liked it here. I liked the service and that’s their strong suit. The food is great, but a couple of tweaks here and there and you’d have a great little restaurant.
