Fantastic Italian restaurant.
Had dinner here and was immediately comforted by the fact that everyone else here seemed to be Italian. Must be a good sign.
Lovely prosecco apéritif. Beautiful roast vegetable and ricotta starter. Superb risotto with black truffles. Delightful petit-fours with coffee. (And I think the petit-fours were free.)
Staff were really nice and helpful. Surroundings bijou.
Absolutely no hesitation in recommending it.

La Collina is a small and tightly packed local place in Camden Town. There is barely enough room for people to squeeze into but we as a party of four managed to fit ourselves in-between the tables. This place has some good points and a lot of bad points. The wine list was sensible and at 13.50 a bottle I consider it be good value and the whites to be better than the reds. The herb risotto with the scallops had a good buttery finish with just the right amount of rosemary. The rolls of cabbage stuffed with sausage meat were imaginatively served with a caramelized apple and coulis style pepper sauce. But the desserts were awful-the chocolate and amaretto pudding was served with a really mean portion of zabaglione and gianduya ice-cream. The paucity of the space and mean portions were off putting. I found the service to be affable. I think these people are trying too hard in all the wrong places, they should think smart, expensive and trendy interior design.
