Certainly a regular restaurant of choice as Levante is my favourite Turkish restaurant in London. I’ve been never disappointed by the tasty and succulent grilled meats I’ve had in this place and the«Levante Special» is my regular. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is generally family oriented and decent. I think it’s excellent value for money and the one place I can think of in London when I’m craving slabs of meat and mountains of food. Give it a go and see if you agree with my verdict.

It might be great as a restaurant but it sucks as a delivery place. Later and later we waited, getting hungrier. We called. We were fobbed off. We called again. 5 mins. On it’s way. An initial 45 min wait ended up as 90 mins. And it wasn’t even good when it got here.

Wow, what a place. The food is amazing but not greasy at all like one would image in to be in a Turkish restaurant. There’s even a hint of gourmet in the menu. I really struck my luck that I was in Lewisham and decided to try this gem of a place. It’s quite peaceful, far away from the central London craze and all the hipsters roaming there. The food here is really good but I shouldn’t have filled up with the Turkish bread that comes with every order — beware of its tastiness!

Absolutely amazing value for money. Great tasting food. Including vegetarian options. You will not be disappointed even if you are a vegetarian. Lovely staff. Very friendly and attentive. They are just a call away. Falafel ia freshly prepared so it always tastes amazing. I am totally a fan of this place. I have tried take-away also. And was surprised with quantity that they provide. Very generous. Very Turkish! Extremely glad I found this place. Lots of desserts available too.

One of the best places to eat in Lewisham. It is perfect for a meat lover like me. Their food is delicious, yet a little heavy on the stomach. The kebab is definitely a must if you wish to try some tender, smooth meat.

I went to dinner in my local neighborhood of Lewisham on Saturday night. Spice of Life Indian Cuisine is my GOTO spot but I wanted to try somewhere new. Now, if you know Lewisham… this is difficult to find as most of the food in the area is not so great. I went to my trusty to find a recommendation and Levanta came highly recommended. I thought i would give it a try. If you are in Lewisham and in the market for amazingly seasoned highly flavourful meats and amazing service, head to Levanta for a meal. I had the Lamb Shish Kebab which came with some beautiful veg and rice. We started with Haloumi Cheese and Hummus and got complimentary WARM bread for dipping. The service was amazing and we didn’t feel rushed at all despite the restaurant being quite busy. I give restaurants that are perfect in New York and London five stars and the only thing keeping this from getting a 5 star rating is that it isn’t in such a nice area and the interior is slightly budget… but if you are looking for AMAZING food in an otherwise challenging neighborhood on the cuisine front… head to Levanta… it really is amazing Turkish food.

Good pide, meze and, yes, even kebabs. Friendly and accommodating when we had lunch there with our toddler which is a tough test of anyone’s patience!

The only decent restaurant in Lewisham, full stop. Great service, beautiful food, very large portions and very well priced. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed, definatly a place for a first date.

Great selection of Turkish food available here, with my partner especially loving the Iskender kebab. I enjoy the sebzeli(vegetable) pide(similar to a pizza but nicer). The staff are friendly and service is pretty prompt even when they’re busy.

Friendly neighbourhood Turkish joint in Lewisham. Particularly strong on kebabs, of which they offer a bewildering variety in huge portions. The heart of the restaurant is the charcoal grill, which imparts a gorgeous smoky flavour to the food. Inevitably your clothes will exude aromas of smoke and grease, I regret to say, but it’s worth it if you’re in the area and you’re starving.

Excellent Turkish food served diligently and at a bargain price. There is a selection of stews available, served with Rice and fresh salad. Platters of kebabs are also available. All in, we’ve tended to eat really well here for less than £8 a head(with drinks). The Lahmacun(pronounced lama-choon) are flat breads topped with minced lamb, tomato paste and parsley. .. . and are divine. We’ve never yet been disappointed. Levante is excellent. What’s more, when you’re done here pop a couple of doors up Lewis Grove to Genaro’s superb Italian Deli or buy your fruit and veg from the excellent Lewisham Market.

This is perhaps my favourite Turkish restaurant in teh lewisham area. The lahmucan pizza’s are rally nice and don’t have loads of parsley in the topping compared to other pizza’s I’ve tried in the area. The donor meat here is really tasty, not as dry as the one’s in kebab shops and they offer a fantastic selection of cold and hot starters, including the usual hoummous, grilled lamb chops and chicken wings. The kebab platter for two is huge and costs £22, but you get a variety of all the meats on offer and either rice or chips and a good portion of salad. Located just around the corner from the lewisham shopping centre, it’s a good place for a quick or more leisurely munch.
