Decent neighbourhood restaurant. The main dining room is a bit crammed and doesn’t offer much in the way of cozy atmosphere, but the food and service were very good. Not necessarily a restaurant I would pick for a romantic dinner or large family gathering. However, it fulfills its purpose if you’re looking to fill up on authentic, delicious Italian food without fuss or gimmicks but with friendly, personal service.

The house white wine, the only one offered by the glass, is just awful. I think maybe it had gone bad, but what does that say about its turn velocity? I switched to beer after one glass. The street level dining room is cramped with zero ambiance… unless you like watching the waiters rope up the dumbwaiter by hand. To me, the food is decent but unexceptional. My basic summary is this… there’s too many other really good Italian restaurants at the same price point and within easy walking distance to bother with this one.

This neighbourhood restaurant has a GREAT lasagne and an inviting, cosy atmosphere. I’m usually sceptical of random neighbourhood restaurants in London but my fiancé was not feeling well one evening and we decided to try the restaurant which was closest to where we were staying near Finchley Road tube. They have a wide range of starters, my fiancé went for the minestrone which was fresh and quite large. I had the«mushroom special» which was basically chopped mushrooms with aubgerines, onions and a couple of other things — it tasted OK. The lasagne I had for my main course was fantastic. It came straight from the oven in it’s own cast iron pan and was seasoned just right. Probably the best lasagne I’ve had in London. My fiancé got another pasta dish which tasted fine. As well as pasta, they have risottos and meat dishes. The pricing was also good. We spent 30 quid for 22 course meals with a couple of bottles of mineral water. I’d come back here again.
