The flavours here are beautiful and the value is hard to beat! I’ve stopped by here several times for food on-the-go and have never been disappointed. The cinnamon pretzels are particularly delicious and for only £1, I often end up buying in bulk. They also do an array of savoury pastries and baked goods such as miniature pizzas at a very good price. The service has always been swift and efficient; would definitely recommend for picking up a quick snack or bite to eat whilst passing by the area.

Were it not for the rather indifferent, even poor service, I would certainly give this place 5 stars. The cinnamon pretzels ALONE are worth trekking across town for. They are huge and fluffy and cost £1. They also make really delicious ‘twists’ — cheese and ham, spring onion, olive — which are great if you’re getting lunch on the go. There are a surprisingly wide selection of sandwiches and salads available seeing as this is such a small establishment but everything is freshly made and, as far as I’ve managed to sample, really tasty. Try their small fresh made pizzas for £1.50. The seating is pretty uncomfortable and there isn’t much room but it isn’t a bad place to stop and they serve good teas. The interior has recently been redecorated and if you like kitsch then you’ll feel right at home! I would happily go out of my way for a cinnamon pretzel and a ham and cheese twist from Melissa’s — and often do!

The cinnamon pretzels are bomb. And they’re only a pound and super big and fluffy and delicious! The tea is pretty decent as well, served in lovely pots that make me happy, and my girlfriend really enjoys their other pastries. Just be aware that the service is not great. Staff are generally pretty rude or just non-helpful. Normally this would be a problem but because the food is so good and so cheap, I still have to rate them highly. My girlfriend goes here whenever she’s in Camden, and now my friends and I do as well!

Came here with two friends after seeing all the cinnamon pretzels in the window – they looked so good! And there were even more kinds inside! We were so overwhelmed by bready goodness that it took us a while to decide and the whole time the girl behind the counter treated us like we were being a real pain. I get it, it’s a tiny corridor and you have other customers who know what they want, but we were happy to let them go first and weren’t blocking their way at all! Not into this service with an attitude. Thank goodness the soft pretzel was glorious and fluffy though. And with lots of cinnamon sugar to lick off your fingers afterward! They might be a bit too airy, am no pretzel expert, but I like them a lot and am looking for an excuse to try the walnut one! NOMZ. 5* pretzels, 1* for service.

Great little place,… clean, quaint, comfortable, and friendly staff. Absolutely incredible value to the point I fell like I’m taking advantage. The pizzas were great, artisan-like quality and very tasty… I’d say about 6 inch diameter, on something resembling a soft delicious pretzel bread and an absolute steal at £1.80! They’ve introduced amazing fresh handmade sandwiches for a steal of £2, and have several varieties of soft pretzels, that are delicious too. I need to try all the other fare here… traditional things like sausage rolls, to chicken/bacon ‘pies/pasties’, and they have lots of nice looking pastries if you’re into that. Great place for lunch, take away, early dinner, or a snack. Their only website is via Facebook, with lots of food pics:

I recommend the cinnamon pretzel. It’s really delicious, like a non greasy doughnut and only 1 pound. Other pretzels are 50p, really cheap! They have a lot of other delicious looking pastries here. Shame no loaves of bread are for sale as I’d likely come here instead of go to the supermarket. Service wasn’t remarkable in any way.

This place looks really dodgy from the outside but they have some great cakes and are very cheap! Thumbs up from me :)

Walking around between Camden Town and Mornington Crescent, I just came across this new bakery and café on Camden High Street. Melissa is a nice little shop with warm and wooden interior and a broad selection of sweet and savoury bakery items(besides bread, unfortunately). Despite I got a tasty oat& cinnamon cookie for free with my cappuccino if you’re looking for a decent coffee, you’re probably better off at Leya’s just a few doors down. But when you want some delicious bakery food in the area, Melissa might be the best option.
