Nando’s

Great choice for a Nandos near the shopping centre but far enough away that it tends not to be too busy. Same good and fast food but most of the people who are shopping in Westfields don’t know its here.

Interesting location, it’s next to shopping outlets in Stratford and also on the ground floor of a hotel. The general area around here seems to consist of a Morrisons and tons and tons of estate agents. If you go a bit further (or 1 stop on the bus) you will hit the main Westfield shopping centre, and there is another Nandos inside, should that take your fancy.
Anyway, this place is quite big, and upon walking in after watching a movie at Picturehouse on a Sunday morning there were quite a few patrons already, showing that chicken is ever so popular in the UK. (Funnily enough, if you mention Nandos to a Portugese person and ask them whether this exists in their country, you will get laughed at… from experience).
Interesting moment before we took our seat, the lady directing us at the door says she needs another gentleman to pick our table. When he came over he said that they were pretty packed (nope, I see empty tables at the front area of the place) but he did direct us to a more empty area towards the back, for which I am grateful.
Nandos system is as usual, go order at the front counter, pay, give them your table number and they will deliver the chicken to you. It came within 5 – 7 mins so we were happy. We used the loyalty card to claim a whole chicken for free, and paid for sides and drinks. The portions are not as big as they used to be, even the portion of fries have shrunk and they pop it in a can now rather than putting the fries on a plate.
Nevertheless, decent chicken for lunch. Unlimited drinks on tap as usual was great to wash down the chicken.

Standard chicken food and for the price you pay for it, it’s not worth it. It seems to be pretty popular. Me and a friend wasn’t so impressed though.

Nice food but service is appaling in stratford westfield branch. the waiter was really rude and can not speak english

The flame grilled chickens served Nando’s are tasty but failed to impress my taste buds. I still prefer to have the juicy and flavourful rotisserie chicken from Costco. Nando’s reminds me so much of El Pollo Loco but a bit upscale and missing the tortilla. It was kinda odd eating the chicken without these wraps and salsa to go with. Granted they have the corn on a cob but it is not as good as the ones from EPL. OHhhh well. On the positive note, in Nando’s or at least in this Stratford location I enjoyed the rustic décor and loud but lively music. It really helps a lot eating there especially with the group. Also, Nando’s offer variety selection of wine and desserts to go with your meal. It was a good experience but not impressive.
Pricewise, its about ££ but in costco or even tesco’s rotisserie chicken tastes just as good for a mere £.

As Nando’s goes this is a much nicer experience than others I’ve been in helped probably by its location and its helpful friendly staff.

All Nandos are pretty much identical, so this review is going to concentrate on this particular branch.
I’ve been there a couple of times, and each time the service was prompt, the staff were helpful, and the food arrived quickly. No problems whatsoever, the only one point I can think of is that once the staff was about to give me a glass that had some stains inside. But she realized it in time and gave me a different glass, but I suppose these things do happen in restaurants occasionally.
All in all one of the better dining establishments in Stratford.
