i like the gym been working-​out there for the last 2– 3 years .
just few things bother me:
1– the stuff are very stiff, not welcoming and not friendly it looks more like a private health club that u must pay money for a personal trainer to have a smile or a word with them. they must have someone there just available for members help. if they need any question, any general help. just someone around the gym. and NOT a private coach!
i feel more i am in a class than in a gym!!!
2– the closing time is simply awful!
they depend on the people who work in the offices around them. in a way i feel the gym was built for them and they welcome other members if they do accept the conditions!!!
this is why i am looking for another gym now which close by 11 pm or 12 like all the gyms around
i finish work as many people at 7– 8 pm. so i barely have time to rush to the gym change my cloth and work out for less than an hour (to have time to shower and leave). their closing time is must change at least 1 hour more!
yes the offices next the gym close by 5 — 6pm. this is why they close by 10pm, i got it !
just not logic!
i wish a proper gym open in this area like fitness first in baker street !!!
they must have more machines. it is more a fitness club for those overweight people who sit the whole day on the chair in the office and they need a personal trainer to train them for everrrrr or light machine and personal body weight i barely saw stunning bodies there.
no competition and the atmosphere it is kinda boring!!!
especially with the music they play !!!
it need to get bit alive .
many members i know they quit for this issue!
it is a nice gym, nice pool, nice design. but the atmosphere and time closing MUST CHANGE!
i love the classes they do.
they could be the best if they work on themselves a bit not hearing good reviews from around about them !!! pity they have the potential!

This place is near me and the pool is nice and I love the Victorian style — there is no other local pool that I know off (not at this price range anyway).
However my experience yesterday annoyed me. I had a leaflet put through my door saying there are packages to join at £39 a month or £1.85 pay as you go. Seemed a good deal I though. So I went in and spoke to a guy on the membership desk.
I was then told that the £1.85 is for a swim for a rescard holder. Its £5.10 a visit to the gym (for rescard holders).
I told him I work part time and my hours change constantly so I never know how much I’ll use the gym — one week it might be once, the next it might be twice. He then said I should go for the monthly £49 package because if I go twice a week it’ll be cheaper — I then questioned him on his maths and he changed it to three times a week!!!
Bascially he didn’t care what was right for me — he just wanted me to sign up for monthly membership — I imagine so he gets his commission. Such a shame that to join the gym we have to deal with these pushy sales people who talk rubbish.

I have been using this gym for over 2 years now and, although there are a few issues that need to be fixed, I think it’s a good place to exercise.
Some of the equipment is starting to show signs of tear and wear, some of it has been renewed, some hasn’t.
The pool is nice but I think the chemicals in the water are so concentrated that your eyes and face sting when you come out. They should consider an ozone based purifying system.
I agree that the key operated lockers are a nightmare but apparently they are being replaced with a card system (don’t now how practical/​safe that will be).
On the positive side, the classes are really good (variety, convenient timetables and great teachers) if you avoid the lunch time rush hour it’s not too busy and the levels of cleanliness are good. I am sticking to it for the time being.

With their newly expanded space, this is a great little neighborhood place to excercise. Not too big, and not too fancy, just right.
I’ve only taken one yoga class, and it was circa 1979, but maybe that’s just what they do in London?
