This is a cute place. Its good for breakfast or a sandwich and combines Indian and British foods. I’ll definitely be returning for a Peri Peri chicken sandwich. Someone said in another review that there wasn’t much seating, but I don’t think he realised there is a second floor full of seating if you can just manage to find the stairs! Staff is pretty amazing as well– very engaging and helpful.

I have been to this café many times, so I thought I would leave a review. This café is based on great Portland street next to great Portland street tube station. The staff are very friendly and the food is fantastic, the do a range of food, hot and cold. Ideal for breakfast /lunch and even for a stop for a quick coffee. I highly recommend the per peri chicken ciabatta !

Although there is not much seating, it is a very sweet, romantic place to share a coffee and some amazing brioche. We eyed the ready to go treats as well and may be back the next time we need to bring dessert to a dinner party.

Amazing café. Don’t be fooled by the size of it. They make some lovely coffee. I came for a photoshoot near this café and went to get something to eat. The staff was lovely and food was very good(fresh too) I treated myself to a good lunch :)

This café is not worthy of even one star. From reading the reviews below, I can’t imagine the writers being anyone other than the owners or staff of the café. The person who took my order was pleasant enough, but the waitress who provided the service couldn’t have been more grumpy, she snapped at me when I requested a knife and fork. I ordered a jacket potato with sausage and mushroom. When it arrived it was cold and tasteless. There was zero flavour. The sausage meat was very rubbery and the mushrooms looked as if they had been cooked quite some time before. Needless to say I will be taking my custom elsewhere and advising anybody else to do the same.

Nowadays, it’s almost impossible to find a Café that you enjoy. This includes the food, coffee and atmosphere. I haven’t stepped foot into a café with any regularity for several months ever since I had an awful experience with what could only be described as a greasy spoon. Since then I have succumbed to the corporate giant Starbucks and bitterly so, I’ve never looked back. I recently started going to this delightful little place just off New Cavendish Street. The food is lovely and the staff are always pleased to see us. Thank you for restoring my faith in cafes and I’ll see you at lunch!

This café is just around the corner from my work so it’s easy to get to, only about a one minute walk. But to be honest even it this café was a 15 minute walk from my work I’d still make the trek because the food is amazing. You must try the peri peri chicken melt, you can pick it up in a meal deal with some crisps and a can of drink for a fiver. Grate value. Plus the customer service is second to none, I’m always made to feel welcome with a warm greeting. If you’re hungry and in the area make sure you stop in here because I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Hakar is the main man. the Food is the lick. lol literally. and service is always provided with a smile. Plus it’s mine & the whole office’s mid-morning stop off. Salad bar for all those on a diet or veggies. Wide range of hot meals. varies daily also. Seating area if you want to sit down and enjoy the view as the 1Xtra/Radio1DJ’s walk past. A must visit if you live or work in the great portland street area.
