Went in to register a few years ago after I had applied for one of their jobs online. The consultant seemed really nice and professional and actually got me an interview for the job in question. Unfortunately, when I got to the company on the day, it was the right company but for a completely different kind of job. I had applied for an admin assistant job but the firm were interviewing for an assistant computer programmer. Completely outrageous experience. When I phoned the agency to talk it through, they said the consultant was on holiday(funny, because she had rung me from the office that morning to wish me good luck). So I asked to speak to the manager instead and explained about the mix-up(thought I could be professional even if they weren’t). He told me that when you go to a job interview it is always at your own risk! Complete shower(like so many agencies turn out to be).

First registered with Spring Personnel in 1999 when they were based in another office. Worked with them on and off until 2006. They found me long term work, looked after me well and used to forgive me if I left temporary jobs of my own will(although I had been working at some of their clients for 1 year or 1 and a half years). Paid on time nearly always. Remained loyal to Spring when one of their clients wanted me to go permanent behind the agency’s back and when another agency got another client’s contracts(which I feel was not taken into account when I left one of their jobs suddenly after a year and a half and needed to put a stop to Tax Credits payments anyway). For about 5 years they provided me with almost continuous work so I’ll give them 4 stars and it’s just one of those things that it came to an end.
