I had been using a different branch of specsavers and thought I would change to this one as it is closer to where I live. The optician rushed through the eye test and in the end could tell me that my eyesight had magically improved massively! My eyes beg to differ. Short version is I am going back to the other branch as this one was a huge waste of both mine and their time. I wouldn’t bother going in if I was you, the brunswick branch is much better. The optician seemed very inexperienced and very eager to get me out of the door. My advice is to use someone else.

Ok, so I know this place is an evil chain and lots of people have had bad experiences at other locations, but I had to relate my awesome one:
I was walking through London when my glasses fell apart. The tiny screw was gone and the lens out of the frame. I pulled out my phone, pulled up Unilocal and typed in «eyeglasses.» This place was the closest.
I went in and showed them my sad glasses in pieces.
«Can you fix it?» I said to the woman behind the counter like some sad kid who’s bicycle fell apart in the middle of the road.
«Let me see if I have a screw,» she said.
Off she went. Five minutes later, back with my fixed glasses!
«Here you go,» she said.
«Thank you! How much do I owe,» I said.
«Nothing. You’re good,» she said.
And off I went, smiling, happy, determined to write this review that I have written right here to let people know just how good it was.

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. I needed to get some new glasses quickly as I had broken mine. They were able to fit me in straight away for a sight test and I chose 2 pairs of glasses on the 241 offer. The staff helped me to make a choice of frames that suited me and were very complimentary.
The glasses were even ready in an hour! Top marks Specsavers

Staff are really friendly and helpful here and there is a decent range of glasses. Have different deals on at various times.

This is certainly not a big Specsavers, but it’s one of the better ones I’ve been to. Perhaps because it is small, service is excellent: attentive, courteous and knowledgeable.
Like many of the other branches, this branch offers a 30% discount for students (bring your ID card), though you need to get a pair worth above 75 pounds for the discount to apply, which was okay for me as I was looking for one in this range anyway (scratch-​resistant treatment on the lens and all).
The selection of glasses is reasonable, though if you tend to like a lot of choice, you may prefer to try a large branch elsewhere (especially for designer brands).
