A wonderful little Indian restaurant focussing on South Indian food — we got take-away, which doesn’t really do justice to the fresh breads that deflate a little in the time it took us to get them home, but it was still really great food!

They’re so awesome. Been going here 20 years and, although the décor is very.indian.the food is too. Absolutely fantastic. Masala Dosai is a must!

Indian food has often been thought of as an amorphous jumble of curry when the cuisine of that vast country as well as neighbouring Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal is actually very diverse. Only lately has there been an emphasis on the different areas that various Indian dishes come from. Sree Krishna has long been held to be one of the best south Indian restaurants in the capital and you can often find a happy mix of Sri Lankans and south Indians enjoying the food here. The typical south Indian starter is the dosai, a thin crispy pancake made with lentil flour with various fillings. The version here is lovely and light with a variety of spicy fillings. My sister had some vegetarian friends over for dinner tonight and we go a selection of vegetarian and meat curries. From the carnivore’s point of view, the meat methi was outstanding and the chicken jalfrezi lovely. In both cases, you could taste the distinctive spice mix, with fenugreek dominating the methi and capsicum and tomato in the jalfrezi The vegetarian friends wiped up every last drop of the aloo methi, sambar, avial and bhindi bhaji curries A good spot to try some south Indian fare

Great restaurant off the beaten track of Tooting High Street. Pretty standard for the top end of Tooting restaurants(in terms of quality not price) — basically this is my go-to takeaway or cheap and easy good quality southern Indian. Compares v well with the likes of Radna Krisghna, though without the tropical décor. Give it a try if you’re into to Keralan you wont be dissapointed

The food in this Indian restaurant is very tasty and reasonably priced. They are usually very busy, which shows they have a good reputation. I did get quite a dodgy stomach after the last time I went there but it might have just been that I wasn’t used to the curry; my boyfriend was fine! They do very cheap house wine which is reasonable.
