This is my go to place for a nice craft beer in stratford. Located in an off piste hallway, this bar is never to busy and always has a variety of craft beers on tap and in bottles. There is usually a place to sit and there are even a few sofas if you’re lucky. The prices vary and can be a bit pricey but the bar staff are all very friendly and more than happy to guide you on price. Bring cash to avoid the surcharge for under £10 card use. There is a small selection of food available, but I prefer to grab something in the food court upstairs. Not bad for nibbles though. I’m you’re looking for a new find, I suggest the banana beer. It’s a bit different but also a talking point with friends!

Another place that I’ve always liked, but have really grown to appreciate over the last few weeks being in the area. Who would’ve thought hidden at the far end of the mall would be a great place to get a creative pint? This isn’t a Wetherspoons, it’s actually somewhere where you’re likely to find a treat or an unknown treasure which is quite an accomplishment for a bar that is within a mall. I’m not certain I would come from afar for a visit given all that London has to offer, but if you’re in the area(or especially at the mall) and interested in a pint than this is your place… they always have a good mix of draft beers along with a large number of creative bottled options as well. The food is pretty good(although a lot tends to run out later in the evening) and the staff friendly… it may be a bit small, but you tend to find a seat after a while(except for at the busiest of times) and they even have a bit of outdoor seating for when the weather gets a bit nicer. One thing I’ve liked about here is that on more than one occasion a friend and I have ended up having pleasant chats with strangers… many of which were passing though, but still increasingly rare these days in London. When it’s all said and done, definitely don’t discount this place for the location… you would be doing them, and more importantly yourself, a disservice.

This pub is a great place to park any beer loving anti shoppers whilst you’re out and about in Westfield. Great(but pricey) beer, so pricey they warn you. Great beer though. Never eaten there so can’t comment. But I recommend going if you fancy a drink. Generally pretty quiet high Is nice.

Great selection off both keg and bottle however the stars are their own brewed keg. The mark up can be extortionate however it is in a Westfield shopping centre. Know what you want and you will be served well. q

Beer. In a mall. What more is there to say?! This is a great little place for a quick beer before being dragged around a shopping marathon. The downside to this is of course you feel a little bit like an alcoholic drinking beer in a unit lit up like the Las Vegas Strip; but that’s nothing a few more beers aren’t going to fix.

The idea is great; a range of different beers, 16 on tap, the sort you’d have to hunt around small independent pubs for but all available in a shopping centre. I love the range, the eclectic furniture giving a Shoreditch feel. There is however a problem; beer fly. Anyone who has ever worked in a pub knows about this annoying little buggers. They are basically fruit fly drawn to the sugar in stall beer. They are a big hint that lines aren’t being cleaned properly, that surfaces aren’t being wiped down regular and that generally a bar isn’t clean enough. Unfortunately I was hint by a swarm of them as I approached the bar. The bar maid even made a comment about their card machine being sticky because it wasn’t clean enough. Now if this was an old pub or in an old building then I could understand it, it’s difficult to clean all the nooks and crannies but this pub is in a brand new, clean finished building. Sort the fly problem out and I’ll be a regular and it would be a 5 star rating.

Yes! A craft beer brewery/pub situated in a bloody shopping center, genius idea. Tap East is a great bar, full of craft beer from all over the world, but they also brew their own beer on site, which is A. reasonably cheap(for London) and B. Very delicious. Being situated in a shopping center is a guys dream, send you missus of shopping, «take as long as you want dear» because once you have entered you won’t want to leave. Tap East also good for commuters fancying a quick refreshment before hopping on the train, as it’s a 5 minute walk to Stratford International. So all in all a fantastic find.

Lovely small beer corner in this hellish shopping centre. Their beers are great and their food is portiontastic, tasty and came with a free beer because of the delay(they had to buy extra ingredients from a shop next door) If this little slice of beer heaven came without the giant boil of a shopping centre it would probably be five stars!
