I never write reviews, but Thai Girder is BYFAR the best Thai food I’ve come across, and felt compelled to contribute a review. My wife and I visit most weeks, we can’t stay away! Thai cuisine is my favourite, and this little hidden gem of a restaurant, tucked away on a suburban high street is easily my first pick in London. I can’t really say enough positive things. Lovely staff, and incredibly consistent high quality meals at a very affordable price. Highly recommended!

Honestly, this is some of the best food you’ll taste. What a gem in the heart of Southfields! Their thai green curry is to die for. Prices are so reasonable for portions. I moved away from the area, have tried so many places but nothing lives up to this. I usually got take-away but have eaten in their quaint, charming restaurant a number of times. Staff are oriental, the real deal. If you’re around the area, its a crime not to go in! Candice

Can’t believe it’s taken me so long to eat here, I walk past this place nearly everyday and many a time have considered popping in for some Thai goodness. Eventually I ventured in and how pleased am I that I did? VERY! Thai Girder isn’t a large restaurant — I doubt that more than 40 people could be comfortably seated inside — providing an intimate and cosy atmosphere. With sombre, modern décor and slightly dimmed lighting a relaxed mood is achieved and even with the occasional take-away customer breezing through there maintains a smooth, flowing consistency from the waiting staff who, though mostly young(I’m guessing), were polite, friendly and most importantly assuringly competent and in control. The menu is extensive enough to meet a large variety of tastes and preferences and should you wish to change a dish around a little(swapping a meat for tofu as an example) then this is easily possible as we discovered. The prices aren’t too pricey either and the meals are plentiful in themselves. I was particularly pleased with the amount of pork in my main, some place can be a little stingy and fill the dish out with varying vegetables. So, a great little place to discover and if the level of quality remains consistent for my next few visits(because I will be returning here) then I’ll have no qualms at all about bumping Thai Girder up to a 5 star establishment.
