Faultless. What a great pub; with a first class restaurant menu. A++++++ service included.

I want to give 5 stars but I just can’t because these prices are not Colliers Wood prices! The Charles Holden has really upped its food game. The chicken burger — a wallet-busting £12ish — is actually by far the best chicken burger I’ve ever had. I ate it twice in one week, that’s how good it was. It’s made with minced chicken and flavoured with coriander, just the right amount of spice and salt and… oh dear, I might be having it for dinner again. The wedges that come with it are stupendous. We went for the Game of Thrones pub quiz — run by an outside quiz agency I believe — which was good fun although not the best organised event ever. But an evening here really adds up — order wine by the glass and ale, plus food, and you’re looking at the price of a night out in London central. I wish they’d pitch it a little cheaper — we are still talking burgers, however fantastic, after all, not fine dining. I admire what they’re doing to be part of the neighbourhood, although haven’t managed to get to any of their events — wine tasting, quizzes etc. yet. Staff are very friendly.

Good to see that Colliers Wood has a destination pub. Went to the opening weekend beer festival and was served by a friendly and enthusiastic chap called Matt. The tall French guy who sold me my beer tokens was also friendly. Good range of beers. The food portions looked small but were well presented although, at £12 for a burger, rather pricey. Was dismayed to find the toilets in a poor state of repair(no working lock on the cubicle door and no paper towels). Small details but this was supposed to be their showcase weekend. The place was overrun by small children and prams. I wish this pub well despite my niggles.
