The Common Room was lovely for breakfast. Delicious coffee at just the right temperature and my eggs benedict was excellent. Everyone else at the table enjoyed the food too. Very warm and cosy place, however not many tables so you might end up sitting with others enjoying their breakfast too! Prices were very reasonable, will definitely return.

If you’re looking for some classic breakfast and lunch options, this is the place for you. Don’t expect anything too out there but boy do they do the basics well. I had the eggs benedict with bacon and my friend had eggs royale. Both were delicious, well served and overall the place had a very simple feel to it. I would definitely return for my staple breakie!

Great food, super service(just the right amount of attention without being over the top), wasn’t here for breakfast but a couple ordered the all day breakfast and it looked great, if you’re down at that part of the common this is well worth a look in.

The Common Room is uncommonly good. The setting is nice, charming with an old clock that chimes on the hour. The juice is always fresh squeezed… I mean is there any other kind you’d rather have I ask? I’m not sure why and we’ve pondered this a few times but the toast(brown) is just lip-smacking delicious. Perhaps it’s the butter or the grains and oats. The Saturday menu is a smaller version of the large chalk board menu on the wall. You can always get a proper full English breakfast. FYI, the eggs come over easy /sunny side up so I always request scrambled. I’ve dined here a number of times and for the first time got something other than breakfast last weekend. Chicken, Bacon and Avocado Salad… quite tasty however it’s not streaky bacon so if you’re like me and enjoy American style bacon just 86 that part. In addition to warmer weather look out for freshly squeezed lemonade as well. There’s a nice little area on the sidewalk for outdoor dining and inside is a bit limited so come early. Before you go grab some cash because they don’t accept cards and not open on Sunday. FYI there’s an ATM just down the street in case you forget. This American Southerner in London has already found a local café with that home town feel, see you there y’all!
