To me, the Enterprise is everything a British pub should be: cozy, eclectically-appointed, and fun. It’s just the right size with ample seating as long as you get there early. It can be crowded later, but what popular pub in London isn’t? The interior is inviting with various trinkets lining the wall and inviting quiet speculation. The staff take a while to warm up, but as you establish yourself as more local/regular they reciprocate. Their beer list isn’t exceptional. The taps host both the regulars and a couple of guest brews. Overall, a good place to lay your hat at the end of a long day.

It had been long time since I’d last been to The Enterprise. Fortunately it hasn’t changed. It’s a nice traditional pub in Bloomsbury. They stock the usual drinks but I’d say they’re an the pricier side but perhaps I’m just tight(all drinks I ordered seemed to be in the region of £4.50). It’s a nice venue all the same. I like the dark green walls against the dark wood. The porthole mirrors at the back half are also a great feature. The ladies toilets smell lovely and the guys I was with were thrilled with the men’s urinals which had some form of racing game controlled by wee(I’m jealous the women don’t get an equivalent but I’m at a loss for how it would work).

Beer list is so-so but this place has great décor(dark walls, comfy couch with a sewing table) so it gets my vote. I always think of Star Trek when I walk by, which probably isn’t fair but it earns the place another star from me. If it were the Enterprise-D that would be even better, of course.

A very cool neighborhood pub located right next to my school. Perfect, since I like to drink after a hard day of learning… or for any reason actually, but anyways… The Enterprise is a nice little pub that is actually quite roomy. It’s longer as opposed to wider and there’s even a nice outdoor patio in the back. The bar area is on the small side, but most people grab their drinks and head to a table to converse with their buddies. The selection didn’t seem like they had a wide variety but I’m not too picky when it comes to beers and ciders so it didn’t bother me much. I tend to drink whatever is in front of me as long as it’s not terribly disgusting. I really like the space and I think The Enterprise has a nice ambiance to it. Perhaps it’s because it’s not overly crowded or noisy like a lot of other pubs or maybe because it’s tucked away from the main street and doesn’t draw a lot of passer-bys in. The prices are reasonably and there’s plenty of places to sit. Among the pubs within the area, this is one of my faves.

Here’s the tricky part about being new in a city: when you don’t know where to go, you turn to Unilocal.Add to that the fact that one of my flatmates is also a Unilocaler, and when we decide to go somewhere new, it’s quite a standard to meet… basically, you can guarantee that there will be two reviews coming out of the experience. But, armed with the new app, the Enterprise seemed like a good candidate in the Holborn area. Let me just say, way to go, Unilocalers… you sold us on this one! The Enterprise offers several unique components compared with other pubs I’ve attended in the area: 1. Colorful walls and unique decoration. The turquoise and red are so appealing to me, as well as the various art and hanging items. We sat near artwork depicting faces made of vegetables and books. I also saw an airplane hanging, and the pictures to signify the men’s and women’s toilets were James Bond and Vesper Lynd. So creative, so different. 2. Back patio space. The courtyard out back of the Enterprise is a great option for catching a cool night breath or sitting on the benches to cozy up. I loved that I could see the sky above me when I had a drink. Being surrounded by greenery also added to the appeal. Basically, I found that the enterprise did the pub part quite satisfactorily(good selection, fair prices, quick service, plenty of seating), and added a few extra details that made it memorable. In the city that never stops pubbing, that’s quite a good thing to do.

Pleasant roomy layout with space in back. Not a madhouse like other places. Unnecessarily noisy with high decibel music. Nice bar food selection. Had salad Nicoise, burger and soup all fairly good. Odd thing: a pie slice removed from the burger. Why?

I really enjoyed my night at Enterprise last night. I went as an after party to a conference around at Conway Hall, and I’m not sure if they hired it out or not because it was full of people who went to the conference. Maybe it was a bit early for it to get too packed though! The décor is just beautiful, seems to twist the traditional with something more classy and modern. There is a garden out back but I didn’t go to it because it was snowing last night and from what someone had said there weren’t heaters(though there may well have been). It looked really pretty there anyway. I didn’t have any food so can’t comment too much about that but a bunch of people had ordered food and it looked really lovely, and smelled yummy to boot, so I’m sure it’s quite good. The service was a TAD slow but there were lots of us so I won’t really fault them on that. For once Strongbow wasn’t the draught cider, and the one on draught was pretty decent, though more expensive than if you have the same one outside of London. The beers seemed slightly more expensive than other pubs but not alarmingly so.

Located literally a stones throw away from my work and being one of the few nearby pubs i actually hadn’t tried meant it was only time that i checked this one out, so I dragged along a colleague to see what it was all about. This place was nicer and larger than I thought. It was very open and comfortable and had an outside area too. It was rather empty when we arrived but it soon became more busy(but not packed out and typically noisy like some of the other larger establishments in the area). We both ordered a drink straight away and within 10 or so minutes are food was served. The fish and chips were tasty and filling(I rate the old style handcut chips) and the sandwhiches/baguettes I saw on the other table looked equally as good(even being the healthy option). Definately no whetherspoons! Will be back!

Awww, only an average three stars for The Enterprise? I reckon they deserve a little more credit than that. The beer is good, the staff and regulars friendly and it’s big enough to get busy without you having to sit on top of one another(unless you want to). There’s a little beer garden out back, which has the added bonus of having jasmine growing all around it. It smells bloody wonderful. I don’t recall beer being particularly pricey, they’ve got a lot of beers on and they do food too. It’s not a pub you’ll cross London for, but you’d be very happy to spend an afternoon here, and you’ll probably stay a little longer than you meant to.

A very good, unpretentious London pub. Low w&nker factor in terms of clientele; great little garden at the back(4 tables, 20+ chairs, with heat lamps and lighting); not an incredible choice of draft beer — the usual suspects, but excellent bar-staff, very little queuing at the bar and easy-to-talk quiet and unimposing atmosphere. Perfect after-work boozer.

Quite a solid little Victorian boozer, this! A pub that’s had a bit of a spruce up without being turned into something awful, the deep-coloured wooden floor’s shine suggests that this is a pub where grownups enjoy a pint. The bar houses 3 real ale taps, and the lunchtime menu was a good variety of keenly priced fare. Maybe it’s the sunshine today winning me over, but my summary is that The Enterprise is quite a handy little boozer to know about and I look forward to future pints in there.

This pub does serve an OK pint of real ale. I had some Old Hooky and it was most drinkable. The pub has a very good look(especially the pub sign outside) and I don’t mind the odd pub like this that is very dimly lit. Now if only I could hear myself think over the repetitive techno music with bass turned up to the maxxxx, I might want to come here again.

Still trying to find somewhere decent to drink after work so I qyped and I found this place! Just round the corner from the excellent Conway Hall, this is not a bad pub at all. Was busy on Thursday night with all tables full but milling space by the bar. They have a cute little garden with candles etc and although no heaters it was warm enough to sit outside as it’s mostly covered with an awning, so it wins points on the environmentally friendly front too. And good for smokers. Music was on pretty loud inside and they seem to have a good range of drinks, from flavoured vodkas to guest ales. I was a little shocked to pay £11.40 for 2 glasses of house wine though. At least it was cold and drinkable.

This is a great pub, with authentic looking décor, comfortable seating areas and friendly service. The atmosphere is cosy but could get lively given half a chance. The pub is situated close to High Holborn making it very accessible for Chancery Lane and Holborn Underground stations. The layout is a little strange, with the bar near to the front, leaving a seating area near to the door, then more further back, beyond the bar. A good one for the bar crawl circuit, but you could while away an evening here quite happily.

A friendly little pub that was recommended to me to a friend who works in a nearby office. The web site gives you a fair idea of what to expect. It’s a pretty small place, we had to wait a while standing up before we were able to pounce on some empty seats, but once you’ve sat down you can be comfortable there for the rest of the night. The atmosphere was nice but as the evening went on the cheesy house music got a bit louder and more intrusive, which was totally out of keeping with the rest of the pub. The beer selection is decent, but without as many unusual beers as I’d hoped. The guest ales are nothing to write home about. There’s a proper lunch menu but in the evening the only food available is tapas. This is pretty tasty– and bear in mind that if it says«spicy» on the menu it is spicy– and 2 dishes plus some bread is enough per person.
