The Malaysian Pancake Company

After many Brick Lane trips and sampling my weight in Malaysian pancakes, I finally bought one! I’m in love with these glutinous black rice coconut pancakes. The crisp pancake provides the perfect holder for this street food delight. Be aware, this is a sweet treat. It almost proved too much for me, but I overcame! I conquered! I got fat.

I’ve noticed that asia really loves corn. As in, instead of fries, they genuinely go– ‘would you like corn in a cup with that burger?!’, at least in malaysia when I went.
So, it made sense for me to order the original melted butter and corn pancake with peanuts, and it was quite yummy. It’s definitely not ones for those with sweet teeth because, it’s more savory sweet. I also got talking to the store owner who told me that my check in offer expired but he’ll get me a discount anyways, the nice people they are. They were also offering samples of their black glutinous rice pancake which was sweeter, I definitely think it might have been a bit nicer than the original. Also, corn + flour/​rice+ flour. CARB CENTRAL– but it’s okay, it’s winter and we need to carb up to warm up. LOL. (+ hit the gym too. LOL)
I’m definitely heading to their store near china town soon, apparently, they also teamed up with roti king to bring roti cenai to the capital. AND I HAVEN’T HAD THAT IN YEARS.

My lemon ginger pancake was delicious! I’ll definitely come back on a Friday for the Unilocal special offer. :)
