Stopped here after Christmas shopping. Pretty much a typical London pub. Great atmosphere. Good selection of beer. Enjoyed the seasonal Rocking Rudolph Christmas Ale. Didn’t eat any food but saw an interesting plate of sliders and homemade chips.

A harmless pub, tucked away just off of New Bond Street. For a Tuesday lunchtime it was pretty busy and there was a good friendly atmosphere. The beer was drinkable but nothing to run naked down the street singing about and the food looked acceptable. There’s no reason to avoid going to this pub but, again, no particular reason to make a beeline for it.

Last lunch out in London centre was long ago, so I decided to pass all the Italians, Asians & fast food places. Even the local fast food stuff and just walked into a traditional pub The pub states the house has been there since 300 years being a pub a 150. The bar lady of very friendly type saw instantly that I am not a local, maybe the only one in the place as far as I could judge, and offered me Spanish and German beer. I said I’d rather go for a British so she recommend one to try. I took it and a hunter chicken. Chicken with cheese is great, not even the huge amount of BBQ ketchup on top ruined it. I liked it there. Want to mention that next time I take the offering to taste some wine in there.

I popped in here after a shopping trip with my grandfather, its nothing to scream and shout about as incredable, but it does the job fine. Walking in on a cold decembers day, they had a gorgeous roaring gas fire, which really helped create a magical scene for a winters day. Unfortunetly I found the lighting to be rather too bright, and they had nasty high stools, which were abit uncomfortable(Especially for my Grandpa!) They must have recently done the place up, as it is a strange mix of Tudor style/trying to be modern. Which I dont feels particularily works, however my grandpa seemed happy enough drinking the London Pride and reminiscing about his long gone London Life. I didnt check out the food while I was here, as we were just here for a quickie to warm our hands.
