Came here on a Sunday evening before dinner. It is right around the corner from tube stop which is ideal. Seems like this is located in a business district because the area was pretty quiet. The bar was very spacious and it was easy to find a table. I was disappointed that the bartender didn’t seem too knowledgable. I am a tourist and wanted to try some English brews, and he wasn’t helpful in recommending anything in particular and hesitated when we asked questions. Although he did allow us to sample a few beers which was nice. The on tap selection seemed meh. Most of the beers were in the 3 – 4 pound range for a pint. Onion rings were YUMM and only 1.75 for a big bunch of them. Bathrooms were really clean. I was weirded out that there were signs everywhere that said«watch your belongings» etc… sketch. I liked that there were lots of photos on the wall detailing historical events that happened where the bar was located. Cool!

Not much to say about this place really. It’s a JD Wetherspoon pub so the prices are probably a tad cheaper than the norm in the area(I’m assuming). It’s quite a large place so there’s lots of seating and has a sizeable bar with a fair few ales on tap. Most of my workmates opted for pints of Adnams Broadside, but they all felt that it was well past its best so I decided on having a Citradelic pale ale from West Yorkshire instead which was really good indeed. So the beer wasn’t spectacular on the whole — I think we’ll stick to Cittie of Yorke or Old Mitre which ooze far more character.

Faux pub avec une déco très toc, la clientèle qui va avec et une cuisine incapable de faire la différence entre un burger saignant ou bien cuit le serveur qui prend la commande prévient, ils sont tous pareils. Très bof

Boring. Big open corporate style pub full of an odd mix of people, low lighting and, the time I was there, a little too much of a cool breeze coming from the doors. Yep! But drinks are mad cheap for the area and no-one in there will look down on you for starting your drinking before lunchtime… and I guess sometimes that’s all you need to know.

I visited this Wetherspoon’s pub whilst in the Farringdon area of London(it’s practically on the other side of Farringdon Road when you step out of Farringdon tube station) and it faithfully adheres to the Wetherspoon philosophy of affordable food and beer, big screen TVs, plenty of space to sit and efficient service. The 30th anniversary of Wetherspoons beer festival was on when I visited(at least 8 ales on offer) and the price of a pint was £2.20, which isn’t bad I guess for London prices(it’s £1.59 «up North»). I can’t reallt fault the place, you know what you’re going to get at such a chain pub, and it’s not half bad.
