A nice neighborhood joint to go to for brunch. Be warned that the Big Breakfast is indeed quite big — I’m pretty sure that dish alone would have been enough to feed both me and my boyfriend.

There will always be a special place in my heart for Holland Park and its leafy, tree lined streets. If I could live anywhere in London it would be here. Tootsies is the perfect personification of this area, chilled out with a smidge of class. The menu has a great selection of burgers, pastas, sandwiches and salads, regular food with a twist. Wasabi Caesar salad, mustard infused mashed potatoes, mozzarella fondue with chilli, delicious ‘slaw and superfood salads. The service was a little too fast, with the waitress asking us for our order like a minute after sitting and whisking away my dining companion’s plate while I was still eating. That really drives me crazy when they do that. You can sit and eat outside and just take in the gorgeous atmosphere and views of Holland Park.

I recently took my 8-year-old cousin here for lunch and we both loved it. The menu is varied with a great range oof burgers, nachos, salads, pastas and curries. I went for the classic burger and despite being really hungry(shopping with an 8-year-old is exhausting!) I couldn’t finish it beacuse it was HUGE! We both went for milkshakes and they were really milky reminding me of the milkshakes my mum sometimes used to make when I was little. The portions are really generous and although the prices are not cheap I think they’re pretty reasonable. Tootsies is very child friendly but also great if you’re meetig up with a friend for lunch.

There is almost too much to choose from the menu with a random range of dishes from burgers, pastas and salads, to curries, fishcake and fondue. I opted for their £9.95 set lunch menu(served Monday to Friday from 12 pm to 5 pm) which made choosing a lot easier, and it was a much more price worthy decision. I started with their soup of the day which was vegetable Thai Green Curry, and a Classic Burger. You definitely get your moneys worth as the burger is large and the side of chips is hard to finish. I washed everything down with a large glass of their banana milkshake, which was a real treat as well as delight. This is a completely casual place and you can go to Tootsies for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner.

Tootsies reminds me of a TGI Fridays dining experience, just a little bit classier for those that wish to dine without the loud kind of music normally played at TGIs. This restaurant, which is nestled away in the middle of Holland Park, is a nice alternative if your belly rumbles for the typical rack of barbeque spare ribs, with french fries and coleslaw that Americanised diners are famous for. An average meal is approximatley 25 pounds. Tootsies is neither here nor there, it just depends upon yout taste buds. It’s child friendly and serves the kind of meals the little lambs would typically love. So in terms of booking for the family, it’s a good choice. As for the adults, Tootsies do a great breakfast…

I always enjoy eating in Tootsies, it always brings the child out of you! The food is delicious, if not very indulgent. My favourite are the waffles covered with hot chocolate sauce and strawberries. With excellent burgers and steaks, this restaurant has all types of food for every taste, it is great for all the family.
