Scissors Palace

Having come here for years for haircuts, beauty and highlights, after my last experience I will never go back. I saw Mazarde who usually does great colour. However, she gave me the worst hair cut of my life a couple of months ago. Ironically, I had chosen her as she is the head stylist which I thought was safest for a restyle. I went in with one-​length just below the shoulder hair and came out with extremely uneven layers — completely different from one side to the other — that were so bad even my mum gasped and said «What’s happened to your hair?» when she saw me. It was nothing like what I wanted or the picture I showed Mazarde — just lots of different lengths everywhere and very messy. When I pointed out to her that it looked uneven she shrugged it off saying it would look fine when blowdried properly, even though I was paying through the nose to have it blowdried properly in the first place and it was obvious that the left side was completely different to the right. It was so bad I have not been able to wear it down since some two months later. It was a complete disaster.

My favorite facial in about 3 years. Wonderful, and reasonably priced.

Nico, who’s the manager I think, cuts a brilliant haircut. (I’m a bloke, by the way) You can tell as soon as someone starts without the scissors whether they’re any good or not. From the first snip you know Nico knows what he’s doing. He listens, understands (even more impressive as he’s Italian =;o)) and he delivers. I can’t recommend this guy highly enough. He ain’t cheap but he’s worth it.
