Nice and good place to go for dinner. Try the focaccia with mortadella and you will be a new person! Nice and friendly staff but personally I think the only negative thing is that is quite pricey. Other than that will definetly recommend if you want to try a nice and good tuscan restaurant!

I discovered this place walking through the narrow streets surrounding Soho Square on my way back to the hotel after a day of site-seeing. What I thought would be a brief stop for a snack before dinner turned into a two hour gorging on three different specialty bruschettas and a few glasses of wine. The hip, yet old-world atmosphere(does that make sense?) made for a very relaxing experience. Even when the restaurant started to fill up with people and conversation I still found it very soothing. The service was great too. The owners of Tuscanic would do well to open a place just like this in California. Until then, the culinary delights on 72 Old Compton Rd are worth the trip across the pond to the mother land,

Great Tuscan dinner with tasty meats and cheeses. In addition, the tomato and vegetable soup option were marvelous. They also have a good selection of wines to go along with the fresh meats, cheeses and bread.

If there is one little piece of Tuscany in Soho, that would be Tuscanic. So happy to have found this authentic and friendly place! Do not expect pasta and pizzas of course, but rather an excellent selection of good quality Tuscan food made out of carefully selected products. It is a little pricey, but then you’re at the heart of one of the major European cities… A must go if you’re in the area.

Fantastic on every level — food, décor, service. The Manager actually forgot our reservation so gave us our table late, and comp’ed us to so many goodies to apologize. The food is simple and delicious, the staff Italian and charming, the smells in the restaurant and simple décor are delightful… I felt I was in Italy, which I lived in and know well!

There’s a bar as you enter with cheeses, hams and other antipasto laid out for takeaway customers and a cosy seated area at the back of the café with shelves stocked full of imported treats from Tuscany. We took a seat the back and looked over the inviting selection of dishes on the menu. We ordered the Il Misto(£11.50) — small selection of Tuscan cured meats served on a wooden tray along a basket of assorted bread, focaccia and breadsticks. There’s a bigger board available for £18 but the small was just right for us. Alongside a portion of delicious Tomato Bruschette(£2) we were transported straight back to the week we spent around Siena last summer. Beautifully simple dishes made with quality ingredients is the essence of Tuscan cuisine and both these dishes delivered. We also had a glass each of the lovely L’Erede Sparkling Wine Metodo Classico — Cupelli(100% trebbiano) at £5 a glass.

Tuscanic is one of my favorite places in London. It is great for late night food and they also do take away for lunch. The panini are very tasty with excellent products(try the bresaola panino). If you come here with friends or family, I’d recommend the cold cuts and cheese platers with panini/crostone. All the staff is Italian. Inside, around 25 seats at very small and low tables, and shelves full of products you can buy that they use in the menu.

Tuscanic in Soho offers great cold cuts and cheeses from Italy, among other things. Add a wine and you will have a great time in a friendly atmosphere. When walking around in Soho I came past Tuscanic a few times but never went in. After a busy week on a Friday evening, I finally decided to check it out. Tuscanic is a lovely, down-to-earth restaurant with friendly staff and a very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. I read through the menu and decided to order a small chartcuterie and cheese plate with a nice white, recommended by my waiter. The small plate is easily big enough for one person and the wine tasted great. I needed a few sips to fully aopreciate it, but then I really enjoyed it. The three different cold cuts were delicious and the two cheeses were a great addition to the meats. The foccacia they served with the small plate was also very good. Tuscanic is definitely a place I will visit again — great staff, friendly atmosphere and excellent food.

My friend and I walked into this place for a casual dinner, and it turned out to be just the right choice. The restaurant was cozy, rustic, and romantic all at once. The staff was friendly, and the service was solid as well. We ordered the ham & cheese plate and the beef tartare burger, both of which were great especially considering the price. Healthy proportions as well; the two of us shared the two orders and left feeling happily full. Last but not least, you can always judge a restaurant by its bread and olive oil, and this place passed my test. All in all, a solid, great value, and authentic Italian in the heart of London.

If you don’t already speak Italian when you arrive… you will by the time you leave. This is by far the easiest way to experience excellent Italian food without buying a ticket to Italy. When I was here it looked like every table had an Italian on it, bringing their ‘designated foreigner’ along for an Italian feast. The décor is very warm and friendly, creating a very homely ambience. You can also buy a large selection of Italian food products to bring home with you… to make your own Italian feast at home. As any Italian knows, it’s all about the quality of the produce.

Rustic Italian place on Old Compton street for a casual drink and nibbles. There are a small number of tables at the back that can be joined together for bigger parties. The menu comprises a number of sharing platters with delicious meats, cheeses or both, together with bread, and various wines. Perfect to while away a lazy afternoon. A great little find.

What a great little place in Soho. Want a glass of wine with some great cheeses and meats, maybe olives and a few different varieties of bread? This is the place to go. It’s not where I would go for dinner, but it is a great place for drinks and a bit of great Italian food after work or before you head somewhere else for dinner. I don’t subscribe to the all too popular view that ‘eating is cheating’, I want food with my drinks, so this is a perfect place for me. A little piece of Tuscany in the heart of Soho.

My experience at Tuscanic was overwhelmingly positive. Seemingly everything, from the ingredients to the tables, comes from Tuscany, lending an authenticity to the dining experience often lacking in more cookie-cutter Italian restaurants. To describe the service, an anecdote may best suffice: one of the owners stopped by our table, describing in detail each individual meat and cheese in our platter, and at our suggestion joined us for a glass of wine. The quality of the food was outstanding, so much so that I ended up purchasing from them the type of olive oil that accompanied our meal. Many of their ingredients are available for sale along their shelves, and even a cursory glance leaves the impression that their dishes only come from the best. Needless to say, very highly recommended.
