Charcuterie sharing board was loaded with savory sliced meats and a lovely selection of cheeses. There was plenty to split with my sister. We were visiting from Texas and three things drew us to this quaint spot — the displayed desserts in front window, the chalkboard promoting fresh fish and chips and the very tall and delightfully engaging chap at the door. A couple of issues determined my final assessment. Even though we were there early in the evening, they were running out of food! The fish and chips were gone.(soooo disappointing) There were two girls working as waitstaff. Both informed us she was our waitress. Neither was attentive.

The décor is super cute, the drinks are strong but tasteful. The superfood salad was good and much needed after being in Paris for a few days. The fish and chips are solid. This is the makings of a great review, right? No. I have to knock my rating way down because I ended up dining with the three blind mice. I saw something from the corner of my eye, looked down and there was a family of mice. Not one, not two but three. Eeck!

Great concept, especially when compared with the Starbucks across the street. Was served an «italian» style iced coffee in a martini glass, quite nice with a powerful caffeine punch to go along with it. The lady had a glass of white. They served food as wrll, but we did not indulge. More stars would only come with faster service, positive experience overall.

We came in here after a long day and had a bottle of wine and a meat and cheese plate. The wine selection was great and the meat and cheese was better. I will recommend this one to all!

Lovely atmosphere and location but unfortunately all a little down hill from there. Good choice of breakfasts but expensive and my friends boiled eggs were raw — literally not cooked. My french toast came with yoghurt on which I clearly asked for it not too. Also only got 1 small piece of french toast for 8.50. Sadly left hungry.

Came here for brunch and the eggs benedict with champers on the side was brill! Really yummy coffee too but wish there had been a large size on offer as I could have drunk a vat of it… service was also extremely slow which was a shame.

Stopped in for a drink while visiting in town. The wine selection was pretty decent, and the ambiance was lively. We met a few interesting locals and enjoyed some good laughs and conversation. Very welcoming atmosphere. Pretty small though, so it can be hard to find a seat later in the evening.

This place is like a trendy East London bistro in one of the most touristy parts of London. Loved it! The food was so tasty. We ordered sharing platters and appetisers. You get plenty for your money. We also had desserts which were all just gorgeous. We ordered Gordon’s vineyard own white wine too. Also fab! I would thoroughly recommend.

This is a cute little wine bar in an area where I wouldn’t have expected such a cute little wine bar to be. Given the other famous wine bar in the area, I wouldn’t have thought there would be a second one, but I was glad it was here! So fellow Unilocaler Isabel and I had seen a play nearby(Here’s a hint: it starred an actress whose name rhymes with Schmindsay Schmohan), and we thought we should grab a bit of dessert before heading home. As we were looking at the menu outside, one of the waiters from inside was humorously and aggressively trying to get us insides. Isabel asked if they had dessert and he swore they had the best desserts around. So we went for it. I had the orange cake and Isabel had the chocolate fondant with salted caramel ice cream. My dessert was pretty fantastic to be honest and that fondant was pretty decadent. I also tried a bit of dessert wine to go with, but that wasn’t as great as I was hoping. We also chatted with the friend friendly(and cute) waiter who told us that there are quite a few Schmindsay sightings as apparently she liked to come in sometimes to get a drink. If we were real stalkers, that could be a problem(although Isabel thinks she may try to stop by sometime). Overall, we had a great time with some good desserts. I think I’ll definitely be back with the other half to check out the real wine selection to get his opinion(since he’s become someone of a wine guy recently) and to try out the rest of the food.

What may seem like a misplaced spot amongst the hustle of the city street is really a gem. Loads of character in this bar and friendly staff– also free WiFi for those foreign travelers. We only stopped for a drink, a snack and a rest– but really happy we found this spot. Of we were locals– it may be one of our regulars. Lots of pâté’s and terrines to try. Te Gorgonzola polenta chips are great– not overpowering at all. Definitely make this stop along your walk near the Thames

Loved this place! Best food of our trip so far and the staff was really helpful. Guy who owns it was there and chatted with us for a while, cool guy

Nice, cozy little place away from the hustle of Villiers Street. Didn’t get a chance to have food but my coffee was delish and it came with a little bear in the foam(love!). Staff were friendly and I’m looking forward to a proper visit soon.

This is a small café on the busy strip between Charing Cross and Embankment tube stations. We popped in for some coffees, but found some nice things to eat to extend it to an afternoon tea. My wife ordered the crab croquette salad off the menu. I spied the Turkish orange cake at the counter and I thought it would go nicely with my flat white. We were both happy with our choices. The orange cake was tasty and I could have eaten more of it. The staff were friendly and the service was prompt. I am keen to return again to try more of their food and drink.

I’ve been traveling a lot for work and barely noticed that there’s a new place to eat on the block. Looks like a cute coffee place but they have a few take away items too. I wasn’t sure what I wanted for lunch so decided to go for a wander. The place is a bit small bit there are prepared sandwiches and salads along the counter which you can take away or eat in. I ordered the chicken chorizo sandwich and it was lovely! Really enjoyable to have at the park on a nice day. The chicken was so tender and had huge chunks. It was on a Portuguese roll which was quite thick and very fresh. Will definitely be back to try some of the other stuff on their menu.
