we went to see cloverfield and payed around £12 per ticket.
image and sound is definitely worth the price compared to other movie theaters around. the restrooms were very dirty and faeces covered the floor. not sure what is going on with public toilets in the UK .
also the big waiting queue was a little annoying, not enough ticket machines though.
note:
the fact that some people don’t know how to behave during screening is very frustrating and ruined the whole atmosphere.

There are 2 Vue cinemas within 2 blocks of each other. So when you tell a friend to meet you at one of them, make sure you’re going to the same place.

Points (at both, actually):
–Ben & Jerry’s stand. Yum.
–Popcorn (you do have to specify «savoury» instead of «sweet», but after that, yum)
–nice leg room, clean, spacious cinema
Docks:
–I think I spent £20 here, for a movie, popcorn and soda.
…I’m still trying to pretend that didn’t happen.

With Vue Westfield just a few minutes away, Vue Sheperd’s Bush has got a bit quieter recently, but it is cheaper and less busy, which makes it worth the extra couple of minutes it takes to walk there. Unlike in Westfield, I have never had to wait too long to see a or get served, and it is actually quite a big cinema, so they have a good range of films on. The one thing about it is that the small shopping centre it is set in is nowhere near as nice as Westfield, so there’s not much to do in the complex apart from the cinema, but I still prefer it there as the service is quicker and it is cheaper.

One of my favourite local cinemas. They opened in 2010, so everything is very new and they have three types of screens: the standard, the Xtreme and the Scene. I haven’t been to the Xtreme yet, but I recently went to see King’s Speech in the Scene and it is worth the extra money (about 15 pounds per ticket).
The Scene has reclining leather seats with little tables so you can bring in drinks from the bar just outside. It is a smaller screen (still big enough) but the atmosphere and the overall experience is much nicer.
Give it a try and stop by the tapas place downstairs after the movie.

I went here last night to see «My Sisters Keeper». First off I was a bit confused on where to buy my ticket. There was no one in the booth and so the only way to get my ticket was through the machine. That would of been fine but I wanted to pay in cash not by my card. When I went to get popcorn I had to wait in line forever. As usual the popcorn was over priced. But what else is new. The seats in the theater were comfortable and the leg room was efficient. I think that the cleaners may have missed a few spots. Seeing that I was stepping on popcorn before I even sat down. Overall it was a nice theater and I would good back again.

Ironically, I find that cinemas in the UK really put American movie theaters to shame. The seats are generally better, the snack bar has WAY more delicious yum yums, and you generally feel like you are experiencing something special and exciting when you step inside. I have found.
This one is no exception. We took in a nice matinée on Sunday and had a great time. Bonus that it’s within a little shopping centre in Shepherd’s Bush and has lots of bus stops and tube links nearby. We walked though. We’re such walkers.
Until the new one gets built inside Westfield and makes this one fail miserably, I’ll be back for more glorious entertainment.

I went here last night to see the new bond film and had a nice time, despite many things going wrong. First of all I was early so while I waited for my friend I discovered there wasn’t a single seat or bench in the place, I imagine this would be really bad for elderly or people with children. Also when we were at the popcorn counter, it took over five minutes for the sales assistant to put our sale through because she pressed a wrong button and a manager had to come void it. After millions of receipt signing and refunding onto credit cards we eventually got our food, which was delicious.
The cinema screen was worth it though, really comfy seats and it wasn’t too big so that every seat was a great view. The student ticket is £6.15 which is good for a Saturday night and really good compared to the west end cinemas. I’d go back, but I’ll make sure next time not to be early!
