Wagamama

Service déplorable. 1 assiette arrive sur les trois et les autres arrive 20 minutes après. Pour avoir de l’eau c’est la grosse galère on a le droit à un verre d’eau et ensuite pour que le serveur en ramèné un autre ca deviens plus compliquer. Niveau nourriture ça reste bon mais voilà sans plus.

This was my first experience of a wagamamas, which is rather surprising considering my love for Japanese food, and I was relatively impressed.
Although I will forever prefer a one off to a chain, it was nice, quite a canteeny feel– so not somewhere to go for anything romantic, but clean and bustley without being too loud.
We were sat quickly and we were warned about the food timings being staggered. I went for the chicken katsu curry, which was wonderful, my father the beef teriyaki, where the beef was cooked perfectly. I wasn’t too fond of the dressing on my salad, as it smelt a little bit like the beard of a smoker (don’t ask how I know that) and my father’s tropical juice was lovely apart from him wishing it was colder, as lukewarm fruit juice just isn’t as nice, but after I dutifully fished out the ice cubes from my drink with my fingers and handing them over, he thoroughly enjoyed it!

Nice place and nice restaurant. The plates were wonderful. However, it did not taste as good as it looked…
I recommend their juices which are surprising!

If you want to have some authentic Japanese food, don’t go to wagamama! This place is completely designed to fit a western people dining style. Taste is ok but the food is strange. Things on menu are all common Japanese dishes but they are just presented in a totally different way. Don’t expect the food looks the same as in Japanese manga or food magazines!

Really nice, what you would expect from any other branch, however the waiter do not really listen to you! I asked 4 people to bring me a fork, i ended up going to the kitchen to get one myself

This is my favorite Wagamama location! Not just because it’s the closest one to my house, but the seating outdoors is great! if you have lots of juicy stories to discuss you can get a booth! not stuck to strangers =D this makes me happy, not that I mind the strangers so much, but it can get very loud inside.
My friend and I ended up getting two mains and splitting them since we couldn’t decide what to have. We had the chop salad and Amai something … they were so so tasty! nom nom nom
We ended up having dessert too, and generally I am not a huge fan of their dessert, BUT they have this one ginger and caramel cheesecake that is SOOO good, if you are unsure of what to get for dessert go for the cheesecake!
There is one waiter in particular that is especially friendly, we ended up talking to him for a while (oops @ keeping him from doing his job) but it’s so nice when staff take the time out to talk to their customers. He’s not a manager, but he should be a manager, he has great people skills :)
