Whittard of Chelsea

Tea, tea… white hot chocolate… smooth and delicious. They have a wide variety here and I enjoyed going to this store. The workers were very helpful!

This is NOT A COFFEE place. You cannot seat down. It is just a shop where they sell tea and coffee.

Al ladito del palacio de Buckinham se encuentra esta pequeñita tienda de venta de especialidades en tés y chocolates. Con bastante más de gusto que las habituales tiendas de regalos y souvenirs tipicos de «mi madre fue a londres y solo se le ocurrio comprarme esta camiseta» y zarandajas parecidas como I love London.
Con esta tienda, puedes hacer ese regalo, saliendo del paso y siendo original, en un sitio estupendo, con regalos originales, recurridos y coquetos. Pese a la zona, sus precios no están disparados y son bastante ajustados, tienen algunos tés curiosos y chocolates de todo tipo. Si tienes suerte, podrás degustar bien algunos de sus chocolates de sabores para templar el cuerpo o bien alguno de sus tés para sentirte un lord ingles.
También claro, tienes tazas de tés, teteras, y utensilios para el consumo de esta infusión, postales, tazas con motivos tipicos y alguna postal. Entre 15 libras y 22 puedes hacer un regalo de 9 tipos de tes o 9 tipos de chocolates quedando como un marques… o mejor dicho, como un Sire.

Le magasin est très jolie et il y a toute sorte de thé et un peu de café aussi!
J’ai pris du thé Earl Grey et le thé vert Chun Mee ! delicious!

Love Whittard of Chelsea! Happened to get a great tea called Russian Caravan that was quite delicious. They also have all the tea related crap you could ever need; kettles, mugs, and those little cozy tea pot hat things the Brits seem to love. Good place to get an inexpensive gift, such as a tea collection or set. Worth a visit!

It is next to impossible to get a cold drink in England.
Whenever i brought it up they would point me to a bowl with about 5 ice cubes in it and tell me that «you americans chill your drinks to the point where you cant even taste anything…»
Whatever that means.
Anyway, the folks at Whittard helped me invent my own cocktail.
I call it. the MIND THE GAP
One part Whittard of Chelsea Pink Grapefruit Ice Tea
One Part Absolute vodka.

This charming teashop will warm your soul! Here you’ll find a great array of traditional English teas that are well-​known around the world. Although Whittard is a tourist magnet, they stock a ton of cute tea cups, mugs and pots. Some of my favourite things to buy here are hot chocolate with Marshmallows and summer fruits tea.

Whittards is a lovely chain selling tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sweets, tea and coffee equipment and mugs. Everything from the packaging to the quality of each product is high.
The range of tea and coffee they have is extensive and from all over (Africa, China, India, Japan, Sri Lanka, Columbia, Guatemala…), catering for many tastes. I’m fan of tea and to see all the teas they have in one shop, and in such dainty packaging, it’s quite hard to resist. They’ve got Chai, Roobois, White tea, Assam, Earl Grey, and the list goes on. They also do a delicious range of flavoured tea which you can have cold, and if you go into one of the shops, they have usually do samples of them.
Also being a fan of hot chocolate, Whittards certainly stocks a fare range of it, such as luxury white chocolate, caramel, mint and ginger.
Whittards serves as a reliable place to go to do buy little presents as well as they sell mugs and teapots and the like, with different designs for different occasions and tastes.

OOOO lovely. How lovely. Let us go and buy some really lovely tea! And if we don’t like black tea, we can choose from a large selection of herbal and fruit teas– the chai tea is simply exquisite! And even then we could get some luxury coffee, or hot chocolate. Or a mix! Well then we need something to drink all of this out of, and of course something for dipping– short breads perhaps?
If you think like this (which I do not very often, but Whittard puts me in a funny mood) then go here and fulfil all of your tea fantasies. It’s a chic little place, makes you want lots of tea cups around you, and lots of little fingers waving around and lots of sipping noises. Lovely. Though a little pricey…
