After spending a long saturday in this pub i was not very amused with the running or organisation of it, we were supposed to be booked for a party of 50 and only recieved enough food for 25 – 30 people, knowing they had such a number of people coming i would of thought they would of brought more staff in but no! i felt for the other customers as while waiting for almost 10 mins for a drink i over heard there was a 40 – 50 min wait for meals. i personally wont be going back to this place unless it improves massively! sadly i cant see that happening very soon.

Good beers and tasty food. Big beer garden at the back with an open fire. The inside of the pub is tastefully done up and has a cost feel. It was a great place to stop off for some food and drink during a long walk in the New Forest.

If you’re looking for a lovely welcoming pub for a good quality tasty Sunday lunch in the New Forest then you cant really go wrong with stopping in at the Crown & Stirrup. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality and value offered when we stopped by there last weekend. They offered a traditional Sunday roast in addition to their regular menu. We all tried the roast and were very satisfied to the extent that none of us could finish the meal. Excellent value for money!
