This place is well worth a visit if you are in the area. I used to come here be for the place had a make over and it was excellent then. At the time the landlord and landlady were the best in the business and it was a shame to see them leave. However the new makeover and the gastro look are very nice and the bear is a very good price. I am going to come back next week to try the food which look very good. I will let you know

The Fifield is a relaxed and friendly pub. Jazz nights are really enjoyable if your looking for a different night out. You can pretty much always find a table, as it’s quite large. Service is quick. Drinks are reasonable.

Friendly, good sized pub, jazz nights, and good beer. They do a decent menu but can get busy on those long summer nights.
Their resident Jazz band is called the Century Jazz Quintet and you’ll be amazed at how much you’ll get involved even if you don’t like jazz. Don’t worry if you really, really don’t like it as you can escape in the other room which is unaffected!
Loads of tables inside and out so always somewhere to sit.
They also have an awesome soundtrack on in the background. What a good pub! Just don’t ask them for free chips!
