Barton Square is one of the nicer, newer parts of the Trafford Centre, which is more out-doors type, meaning it can be a nice place to go for a look around, to get some fresh air and away from the busy Trafford Centre, through a simple walkway which takes you there. Barton Square mainly is a bunch of home stores, with M & S, BHS, Next and Home Sense all having stores here, alongside a Seaworld and a Legoland. It is quite a nice place, it can even sometimes be set like a fairground with stalls selling quick food, which can be an interesting place to grab something to eat, although I’ve never eaten at one of them myself. The shops here are limited, but when you have The Trafford Centre at just the other end of the bridge, you don’t need it really. It is a nice new addition to the Trafford Center, but adding a bit more here, maybe even a Starbucks /Costa /Caffe Nero to serve the area, although they have all 3 in the main building would be nice, but still for someone who despises home stores, which this place is all about — this isn’t a bad place, and is a nice place to go while shopping at The TC.

Barton square is the newest addition to the Trafford centre. They have quite a number of home stores ranging from m&s to home sense. It is very elaborate with fancy statues and fountains lining the walkway it’s well worth a walk over if you are visiting the trafford centre.

Barton Square is part of the Trafford Centre which can be accessed by a covered bridge link from the Trafford Centre. It has many home wear stores including a huge M&S with a lovely café on the first floor, British Home Stores, Homesense, Dwell, NEXT, and now a Sealife Centre and Legoland to take the little ones too. If you are looking for any home furnishings then this a great place to check out!

Barton Square is the long anticipated and much needed addition to The Trafford Centre complex and this 200,000sq ft addition is sited across the road. Connected to the main centre via a glass bridge, this homeware mecca cost a cool £90 million to construct and I would say a large slice of its budget went on the statues. I am not a thief and have never been accused of a criminal act, but I would be lying if I said it had not crossed my mind if they would miss one of the white 10 foot Grecian statues which would go nicely in my back garden. Barton Square is absolutely beautiful and you enter it through Roman pillars, see tourists pose beside the statues and survey the wonderful fountain surrounded by gold dolphins. The design of this place is amazing and faux Grecian architecture can appear tacky if not done properly, so this is a successful undertaking. Shops including, Next, Habitat, BHS Home, Home Sense, Dwell, Laura Ashley and M&S Home look pleased as punch to be in their new home. Unlike the main shopping centre over the road, Barton Square is quiet and serene and this is a tranquil oasis in which to sit and enjoy the sun. At Christmas time, there is a Santa’s grotto complete with actual reindeer and an ice rink constructed for the public. At at other times of the year, children can stand and gaze at the singing bears and there are tons of free parking spaces which always makes shopping easier. People abseil from the clock-tower for charity by day, and it is illuminated beautifully at night. Barton Square is a nice place to go for all the family and it deserves a visit.
