This branch of Caffe Nero is located just outside the Manchester Arndale, opposite Selfridges and in the same row of shops as WHsmith, Pizza Hut and Second Cup and is also easily accesable by turning right after leaving the Manchester Arndale on Market street when you go towards where the 3 store/City store is. This store has seating on two floors which I feel is good however the downstairs part feels very crammed and unwelcoming, I do not feel it is big enough really hence making it feel unfriendly especially with the size of the large counter and it is always busy when I pass with long queues hence making it a place to avoid if you are disabled or are traveling with a pram. The staff are nice, I bought a voucher for a free coffee for 350 nectar points and the barista told me that only standard drinks like Coffee and Hot Chocolate were covered but she let me off with getting a much more expensive drink with it. A Caramelatte. It seemed unlike nearby rivals, Costa, Second Cup and Starbucks, or any coffee shop for that matter it is only one size drink, which I feel is rather dissapointing. My drink was satisfactory, it wasn’t the best or worst drink I have had from the coffee shop, I actually found the cream to be of a good quality. They do sell copies of The Times to go with your coffee. Would I say this is the best place to have a drink in Manchester? No but the coffee is okay and the staff here are great but with the store feeling quite poor on the bottom floor and no options being avaliable for different sizes I feel 2 star is a fair rating, although I would love to give more it just feels like a corporation chain especially with the layout of the floor’s ground.

The Caffe Nero at the Manchester Arndale centre is just ok, The Coffee is good and theres a good selection of pastries and cakes, The Service is friendly but if its busy they are quite slow! The reason we love this caffe nero though is the huge window on the 1st floor where you can sit and watch the world go by.

Do coffee companies still not get that taking up residence in the Arndale is like buying and wearing one of those«I’m with stupid» T shirts? You are who you hang with. Everybody knows that whether they admit it or not. So when you locate a coffee house in the Arndale(AKA The Worlds Worst Ever Thing Ever) you are immediately putting it in league with the likes of Footlocker, Poundland and ‘the’ Greggs– not the type of place you will find many discerning coffee drinkers. Think it out Nero, just think it out next time.

More coffee shops selling over priced coffee and food! I am so terribly bored of all of these coffee shops that charge a fortune for a really average cup of coffee. And for those of us who dont enjoy coffee have to pay at least £1.50 for a minature bottle of juice!!!

Love Caffe Nero for a quick cuppa before an appointment or to chill after a long day over a lovely iced mocca and a new improved blueberry muffin.

Café Nero is a Italian Coffee shop with chains all over the uk, i have only tried the shop in manchester, picadilly. For all the coffee lovers out there, you must try this place it is fab the coffee is great, really nice and full of flavour. They all sell delious sandwiches and amazing cakes, the Belgium white choc cheesecake is amazing the best cake in there by far.

Caffe Nero: always high quality I can’t fault this branch of the high street Italian-inspired chain: it’s an exemplar of the quality of the brand. What sets Nero apart from its competitors is the depth of the menu: hot and cold food based on Italian favourites, extensive menu of high quality espresso-based drinks and seasonal specialities. The coffee is consistently good, and the food is always well-made. This branch always has a little room to squeeze in — try upstairs!
