There is often a thin line between being helpful and overcrowding personal space, and more often than not the Levi’s staff push the boundaries of that line. Don’t get me wrong, when they’re helpful, they are super helpful, you need a size or a style and they will get it for you or damn well make sure that whilst you’re changing, they will find it. They will offer to go and get you a size up or down if you’re not quite happy with your fit, and if you’ve found your most perfect pair, and they look good in the front and make your butt look fantabulous, but they’re a little long in the length, Levi’s offer a tailoring service. How perfect is that. Sale season at Levi’s always makes me smile, especially when all the quirky styles of jeans are left on the shelf, because that means more for me, seriously, they do some mega slashing of the prices here, at nearly £90 for some styles, we hit Levi’s last sale season, and picked up some t-shirts for £7 each, a mega gorgeous and chunky parka for £55 and a couple of pairs of jeans that at lowest were £22 and maximum £36, bargain!!! Plus it’s Levi’s! You know you’re getting great value for money and that you’re purchase is going to last and last and last.

Absolutely my most favourite shop from which to get jeans in the world. In comparison to places like Gap and Next, Levi jeans have a more wide-ranging selection of styles, sizes and fits. Every pair of Levi jeans I’ve had have always lasted a really long time and felt great to wear. In fact, I’ve only really worn Levi jeans for the last four of five years. I like them that much. The staff at Levi’s are super helpful and if you want to try on some jeans will usually fill your arms with a good few pairs so you can try each on and really find the right pair for you. True, these jeans ARE expensive. Like £60 expensive. If you’re looking for value, get your ass down to Primark quickly and get a pair that will cost ten pounds and also last ten minutes.

For my five hundred and first review, I thought I’d show some love to the company that first introduced me to the number 501. Yup, I’m talking about long-standing, U.S. denim manufacturer Levi Strauss and their iconic range of red tab jeans. These days, the emphasis might have shifted to the 512(seasonal bootcut), 504(seasonal loose) and 511(seasonal slim with cinch) but for me, the 501 remains the quintessential pair of hard wearing, booty clenching jeans. For anyone interested in adding a pair to their wardrobe, you can buy them in a variety of different sizes and colour variations — from classic indigo to black and white — from this swish Levis store. Me? I’m already wearing mine.

Everyone knows what Levi’s are so I thought you might like some interesting historical facts instead of the usual expert store critique. 1. Levi Strauss, the inventor of the quintessential American garment — the blue jean –was born in Buttenheim, Bavaria on February 26, 1829. 2. Jeans were originally called ‘rivetted waisted overalls’- catchy. 3. Levi was also a director of the Nevada Bank, the Liverpool, London and Globe Insurance Company and the San Francisco Gas and Electric Company. You hear that Manchester? Liverpool. Liverpool invented jeans… sort of.
