Just ordered a take out nandos for a working lunch, ordered online, they said the order would be ready on arrival and amazingly it was! I had a minute or so to grab cutlery and every single sauce under the sun and boom the food was ready to go. Outstanding service by all! Thanks nandos!

I am a big Nando’s fan! I ordered a Chicken Burger(medium spiced) with corn on the cob, salad and coleslaw. It’s right around the corner from my gym so perfect for some dinner in the evening after a gym session. I like to think it’s a healthy option but don’t worry I am aware that it is not especially since I smear the corn with butter. Service is always really friendly and helpful, it’s easy to order and staff are more than happy to recommend good menu items. It’s pretty reasonably priced for a meal depending on how many sides you want and I always leave feeling full. They do bottomless frozen yoghurt for £2.95, it was chocolate when I last visited but since I had just left the gym I resisted the urge, next time I might not be so strong! It’s nothing mind blowing, it is chicken and basic sides at the end of the day but I can’t help but come back for more. It is one of my favourites and I am yet to have a bad experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the food is quick and tasty.

Everyone always says«it’s just chicken» well actually they are wrong. It’s deliciously smothered chicken. This is my favourite nandos of the 4 in Manchester. The staff are always nice and friendly and service is fast and efficient!

In and around Manchester City centre there are 5 Nando’s stores now, including one just a mile out at Manchester Fort which makes it 6. Most of these stores are okay, however some possess a much higher, or lower standard. For example, I was very disappointed with The Printworks and Manchester Fort branches, yet was a fan of branches in the Manchester Arndale and at Piccadily. Now this branch was the last off my list of city centre Nando’s stores to visit, and I rather wish I’d have visited sooner! I have previously noticed this store before, while shopping at Spinningfields and have been meaning to go in for over a year now, since I first visited Hey Little Cupcake!, next store and of course Little Waitrose at the other end of the Spinningfields complex. This Is quite a nice store, it is quite large and the music doesn’t seem to be that loud either, so you can actually think and talk while you are eating, and enjoy your food more, unlike certain branches like The Printworks and Bury, which seem more of a concert, an awful, irritating concert is the last thing you want to hear when you are trying to enjoy a meal. The staff will often sit you down and take you to the table, and help tell you about Nando’s, unlike my first Nando’s experience on Baker Street where no one told me you had to order at the bar, meanwhile I was sat there like a hopeful squirrel. Back to the Spinningfields store, my «waitress» made sure I knew everything I needed to know, and definitely was friendly, and a great member of staff, especially for a trainee, as in the past I have had some rather terrible service from trainees before such as the branch near Piccadily in London. The ordering station is pretty cool and unique, and the décor is slightly different to most Nando’s stores, glass windows at the end with a nice view, the ceiling has chilli’s built in, which is often associated with Nando’s. All the staff here seemed great, and they really seemed to emphasise the gluten free part, and even came out to my table to check, and even said it when serving the meal, which added confidence eating here. As I have Coeliac Disease, I can get really ill with even the slightest bit of gluten which contaminated my food, and they seemed to understand this and take it very seriously. When my food was served, the portion size was quite good, they give me quite a lot of chips, which was still a good portion despite asking for 2 portions, which probably met that. The Chicken butterfly was a good size too. My chicken was quite nice quality, and the chips were good too, and probably some of the better gluten free chips I’ve had, they were a few issues with the meal such as some parts tasting a little hard and spiky, such as where it was grilled, which wasn’t very good as they were quite spiky and that ruined the meal a little, however in general it was okay and wasn’t burnt. The chicken wasn’t bland, and the medium flavouring wasn’t too spicy either, it wasn’t excellent but it was okay, yes and it did taste quite good quality. The drink situation as in all Nando’s is poor and leaves you screwed if you hate fizzy pop, it is about £2.30 for unlimited refills, but still if you want a small iced tea they are all £2.50 or so each, which isn’t worth it as they are not fresh and smaller than the Lipton bottles that on average cost £1, or even 39p in my local Heron Foods or 4 for £1 and they are nicer and larger, so I always tend to bring my own drinks here when visiting Nando’s, and they don’t tend to mind. This store didn’t either. To consider this is a good Nando’s store in a good location, Spinningfields is quite a nice area and with the décor, this store looks nice from both the inside and the outside. I think this store definitely deserves 3.5 stars which makes it hard to choose between a 3 and a 4, but I feel this store is just hitting the line of a 4 and although it is close, I have to call it at four stars for Nando’s, as it is slightly more deserved than a single three stars, with the great, unique décor being the deciding factor as well as the staff, with just one of them being poorer it probably would have been a three!

Quick service of tasty hot, fresh food which just fits the bill. I had a spicy chicken thigh burger which is dressed with posh coleslaw(more than just cabbage in Mayo) and a side order of the sweet potato wedges and a ‘bottomless’ diet coke. Enjoyable

Sometimes I am hesitant about eating at Nando’s as I feel it’s a bet against whether I will be satisfied or not. I don’t know why that is! Maybe it is because it is a franchise, although I have never had a bad experience at a Nando’s restaurant. Nonetheless, I was a fool to be hesitant! Yummy Chicken! Going to the gym straight after work, I felt like I needed some food straight afterwards and a friend of mine often says: «a chicken wrap is the perfect post-workout snack.» So having this in my head and knowing there was a Nando’s only a minute’s walk from the gym, we decided to pop in, and this changed my perception completely! Rather than grabbing food to takeaway, which was the original plan, we decided to sit in and order. What can I say; I was more than satisfied with the decision. I ordered the Butterfly Burger with the hot sauce marinade and fries. It was a great portion size and the chicken(two chicken breasts!) was nice and thick and perfectly cooked; the hot sauce gave the food an incredible kick! The chicken came on a «Portuguese roll», which resemble a tough bun, and lettuce and a slice of a large tomato. With my fries, I had the extra hot sauce to dip. Very nice! My only critique was that the fries were lukewarm, but not exactly devastating. My girlfriend had the«super food» Quinoa Salad with Chicken Breast fillet. She loved it! Again it was a great portion size and she said it was one of the best salad’s she’s had in the UK; and this is a girl that frequents the German salad restaurant Dean & David’s on a regular basis, so she knows a good salad, when she’s presented with one. The only issue she had was the lack of Avocado in the salad, but this was easily resolved by talking to the kitchen and she got extra Avocado slices on the side. I even added a bit of Avocado to my dish, and it added something extra to my burger. Tasty! It was around 19:00 on a Wednesday night when we visited and the restaurant was just starting to fill up, quiet at first so ordering wasn’t an issue and the food arrived quite quickly. This Nando’s can be a little drafty when the door is opened due to the open plan layout, but moving tables was fine. The price was mid-range, which is normal for the city centre, and the quality is definitely worth it. We paid around £20 for food. I was extremely happy with the food, and I can now say that there is no reason to doubt the quality of the food here, and I may just visit again for a post-workout«snack».

I will admit to only ordering a hot chocolate on my visit to Nando’s but that was definitely very meh. I have previously consumed Nando’s chicken and wondered what the fuss was all about. It is chicken. That’s about it. You can get much nicer, much more interesting chicken at other restaurants in the city and you don’t have to form a McDonald’s-esque line to order it. I will say that my friend’s avocado salad looked decent with at least half of an avocado scattered throughout plenty of green leaves. But I can’t say I want to go back. It is essentially fast food dressed as fancy and I’m not buying it.

I love this place. Good food. Good times! I think the quality and waiting times are better at this branch than others

I know, I know — it’s not the classiest joint in town but for me, a half-Portuguese spice-loving carnivore, Nando’s hits the spot — Every. Single. Time. This particular branch(situated in Spinningfields) has saved the day for me and the other half on two occasions now, when we’ve wanted a quick but good quality food fix yet haven’t wanted to part with too much cash(I have a Nando’s loyalty card so we get freebies, yay!). On both visits, we shared the Meal Platter, which is basically a full chicken, quartered and smothered in peri-peri sauce, served with two regular sidelines of choice(we opted for chips and spicy rice) plus as many ‘Bottomless’ soft drinks as one requires — and believe me, I need A LOT after pouring half a bottle of the X-tra Hot peri-peri over my plate(this is the hottest of their sauces but because I’m such a chilli feind, I don’t find it too overpowering, however, those who aren’t as honed in the art of enduring such heat may suffer a little, so please be careful — I don’t want to be responsible for your ‘sting’ the following morning…). This caveman-style feast cost us just £19.95 per visit and satisfied our intense craving for meat and hot suff like no other place in Manchester city centre, so far(we are newbies). Staff are friendly and helpful, the restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating and the atmosphere has a nice little buzz to it, aided by crazy salsa music. They also offer a takeaway menu, from which you can call up and place your order, then go and collect it. I like the idea of this but I think eating in the restaurant is half the fun. Going to the sauce rack to select your desired level of peri-peri is one of the things which MAKES the overall Nando’s experience, for me. ‘Am I in a Lemon & Herb mood?’ ‘Do I want to blow my head off with X-tra Hot today?’ ‘Will Medium suffice?’ — every visit is unique! And that’s why I think this branch of Nando’s will be a regular haunt. I hope you enjoy stuffing your face there as much as we have!

Went with my son to one of his favourite hangouts and I was impressed. I give 2 stars for the food because I could do chicken, chips and peas at home but the chicken was very lean and tender and the lightly spiced chips were good. Macho peas soggy and disappointing. Unlimited soft drinks helped make the meal good value. Now the best bits. The room itself is very good, airy and comfortable. The staff were excellent, we expected to wait 15 or 20 minutes but the waiter came to tell us it could be 20 and offered us a free starter which we accepted gratefully. All in all a good experience and I’ll go back.

I tried this place last night. +1 star for great wait staff, extremely nice. +1 star for having a ingredient book where people could look up ingredients for food allergies. –1 the food just wasn’t that good. –1 I had the pea mash, it was horrible. These frozen peans and don’t go through proper effort to rehydrate the peas –1 the food doesn’t have a diversity of flavor other than garlic and some spice. Overall I find that the food lacks flavor.

High quality Nando’s. Brilliantly modern interior, great looking store. Can get very busy at almost any time on any day so definitely reserve if possible, however the staff are friendly and the service is quicker than that of its counterparts in the Arndale and the Printworks. Mainly used for those wanting a large chicken dish for quite a big price but is definitely aimed at those there for a large group and not for fine dining. Drinks are pretty expensive aswell so watch out for that.

I should have gone for the macho peas which Emma C recommended! ‘Macho macho peas…’(sang to the tune of Macho Man) Anyhoo, I do like a Nando’s. I was looking forward to a catch-up with a friend and a tidy little Yellowcard discount, but that’s where things started to unravel and Nando’s became the Ryanair of Spinningfields restaurants. Presenting my Yellowcard on purchase of a beanie wrap, I was told that the discount wasn’t valid for wraps. Huh. Then what was it valid for? Pittas and burgers. Okay… And then, it’s only valid on orders over £6. Right… *Then*, my dining companion came back from ordering chicken and I said, ‘How about that Yellowcard discount, hmm?’ She said, ‘Apparently it’s only valid on Mondays and Tuesdays.’ Nando’s, quit switching the fecking goalposts already! And I have to say I was a tad disappointed with my wrap, sadface. My side order of ratatouille was a bit cold and insipid, but it was promising in terms of its punchy flavour. The wrap itself was promised with chilli jam, cheddar, yoghurt sauce and a side salad but it sat lonely without side salad, the chilli jam was a pretty stingy scraping, and where was my cheddar? Come on my Portuguese-themed pals, buck your ideas up! I’m still always up for a bit of Nando’s though.

Went to Nandos on Hardman St(behind Deansgate) for the first time on 10.6.11 and loved it. The staff were all so helpful and friendly, explaining how it worked(pay at the till with your table number) and telling us all about the options and choices. It is not a fine dine experience but great to have a meal with friends. The food was fine, I guess the worst thing was the Garlic Bread, but the chicken and other orders were great, even had a nice bottle of wine. We had a few great staff but Charlotte was most helpful and friendly along with Gareth(I think) an Irish lad who was full of life and wanted us to enjoy our visit, which we did.

My favourite of all the Nando’s in Manchester. Nice small restaurant, in the pedestrian area of Spinnyfields. There is a heated patio area if you wish to dine out on those days in Manchester when it doesn’t rain too. Really friendly staff, they even gave me a free sample of macho peas once, and I was hooked and order them on every visit now. Not much in the way of decent parking, there is an expensive NCP carpark round the corner, which will cost you the equivalent of 2 starters! But if you dont mind a walk, there is free after 6 parking on side roads nearby.

You can’t beat a bit of Nandos! :) When I go to Nandos I usually have half a chicken with chips and rice. I don’t like things that spicy so have the mildest flavour but this is really tasty. One minor problem is that with half a chicken, the bit(which I think is the leg) is really nice and juicy but the other bit(the breast??) can be quite dry. It does vary — sometimes its OK, sometimes dry. Although I don’t like the chicken too spicy, I do like the sauces and dipping the chips(and chicken) into it. The last time I went to Nandos I tried some of the super hot sauce — the one in the black bottle. It is hot but not«crazy hot». Maybe if I had more? This particular Nandos in Spinningfield is a lot quieter than the one in Printworks and looks a lot nicer. As my friend said the other day — it looks like a proper restaurant. The décor is nice, there is more space and I like the dark wood décor. There is even a sink for you to wash your hands if you are particular messy! However, if your not a fan of chicken then your best going somewhere else! :)

My cousins from the U. S obsess over Nando’s. Peri peri chicken like no other apparently. Smuggle those sauces, Fedex them please. Really? Think of all the choice in NYC and L. A and they want Nando’s. I do like Nando’s as it does do good tasty chicken but I often wonder I only ever get dragged to this place. I mean I go for the lemon and herb every time. I’m not an extra hot and spicy with extra hot and spicy sauce girl at all and I think Nando’s can only really be appreciated by the spice lovers. However the burgers, the pittas, the salads have always done me good and the chips most of the time have that crunch. The refillable drinks amazing, but I’m not a fizzy drink girl either. However, a new addition to the menu, «rugged pea mash» I’ll rate. The Nando’s on Spinningfields is pretty decadent for a Nando’s and I do like coming here. But whenever I do frequent Nando’s I can’t help framing it as slightly better, fancified chicken and fastfood served in a restaurant and marking it with a peri peri Portugese edge.

Do you like spicy chicken? And spicy chips? And spicy corn on the cob(once dressed)? Me too, perhaps Nando’s is the place for me! Do you like infinitely refillable soft drinks? I do, Nando’s really does sound good. Do you like cold soggy chips that have been kept on the hotplate for a long time? Oh wait, no I don’t. You don’t either? I guess I don’t recommend Nando’s then. It’s a trait that they keep through the company. I love the food I really do, but half the times I go, they cook the chips and put them on the plate. Then you actually watch your plate(as they have an open kitchen) and see it sitting there for 10 minutes before they add the chicken. Chicken takes longer to cook than chips, so it would make sense to start cooking it before the chips. Unfortunately they don’t seem to do this. Wallies.

Nando’s is a sound option whenever you’re out. It’s grilled chicken with differing levels of spice dependent how cheeky your feeling, sit down have a flick through the menu, a quarter of a chicken? A half? A whole? Then do you want it spicy?(spicy means spicy here though, unless your missing a tongue I wouldn’t try the hard man act). Any sides? Sit wait a few minutes and it’ll arrive, it’s very good. Your very happy, every bodies happy. You end that spicy hotness in your mouth with a set of unlimited! Frozen yoghurt. The whole experience was okay costing not too severe. You leave feeling happy. Simples.
