Oddbins has got a lot going for it as a high-street wine shop. Great wine selection, the assurance that you get a bang for your buck, great beers and ciders, spirits, sparkling wines from all over and last but not least approachable, available and knowledgeable staff. I always think that the reason why people buy in the supermarket is not so much because it’s cheap(seriously for the same price you get a better bottle at Oddbins or other local shops) but people’s fear of asking about something they don’t know too much about. Well fear no more, people who like wine are generally pretty decent folks and always carry a smile on their face. Cannot be more true at Oddbins, the guys will look after you without making you feel like you should have a degree in oenology to know what wine to get and why. And it’s a great experience too, plus you might learn a thing or two and impress your mates next time… you don’t get that in Tesco !
