The war on supermarkets becomes apparent on Quay Street. Sainsbury’s versus Tesco, which is it to be? Considering I could notch up a few clubcard points by going to Tesco, Sainsbury’s often takes all my money, simply because it’s a bit bigger and a bit nicer to shop in although probably a little pricier. Tescos does win on the bargains however although I did pick up some camembert for 99p in Sainsbury’s one time. Great lunch that was. Overall the staff here are always well nice and there’s never anything I can’t really get.

Well its standard, it’s a convenience store. But this sainsburys holds one advantage over its adversaries… It sits next to the cinema, so makes the perfect dodge out of paying extortionate snack prices from the cinema. Head in here and stock up on ice cream, sweets, bagels, fruit etc etc. Enjoy.

In my continuing quest to find Sainsbury’s own-brand fruit and fibre cereal in central Manchester for my girlfriend’s breakfast I hit this Sainsbury’s Local on Deansgate. I’m getting quite worried now. These Sainsbury’s exploits could almost turn into a list, of me basically reviewing the same thing over and over again, all without the feted fruit and fibre ever appearing. Needless to say, this Sainsbury’s Local doesn’t have the fruit and fibre. It’s just packed with city workers buying ready meals on their way home.
