Nice old pub, really looks the part. I mean you could say that it kinda needs some work in places, but a little bit of a rundown effect adds charm.
They served Doom Bar, Tribute, Jail Ale and Old Rosie.
I overheard legends of quite a big beer garden so that might be worth a look (in a few months!).

Great little place in Newton Abbot that makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time a few hundred years.
Lots of wood beams and brick all around, low ceilings, tons of tables, very warm feeling. Great selection of beers mostly from local breweries, and at very good prices. Friendly service and patrons always makes you feel welcome.

Another well kept secret of Newton Abbot, Just stopped by chance for some lunch and wow the food was 1st class and very resonably priced, Good selection of food and i must admit i did have an all day breakfast as tend not to have these types of meals very often and i must say it was probally the best breakfast i have had, it was so tasty and fresh that i might have to pop back again
