fantastic local pub, good atmosphere very warm & friendly, good saturday nite live music too! could you tell me name of band that played at your pub on 23÷2÷13, thanks. i would highly recommend this venue for a pleasant evening, will defiantly be returning to try out the food.

A nice traditional pub, with the traditional pub smell (what is it Mr Landlord?).
Had a beer called Cotleigh Honey Buzzard, a name which led me to expect a light honey flavoured ale, certainly not a dark beer… with no honey flavour to my novice tongue. Nice beer though, just not as anticipated. It was one of four ales (pub serves a maximum of 5).

This Pub has got to be one of Newton Abbot’s best kept secrets as the food is Top class and very reasonable priced, I have eaten there a few times and had the steak and i must admit its got to be one of the best steaks i have had for a very long time, you could tell it was fresh and the lunches are big portions, Just remember its only serves foof during the lunch time and watch out for Market days as it gets very busy
