The best Indian food locally by a mile! The food is excellent whether you are sitting in or taking away. The staff are courteous, friendly and full of fun. Our regular Friday night take away and our first choice of local dining when we manage to get a babysitter.

We’ve been meaning to visit here ever since it opened. I was dubious at first — the restaurant is split into two parts, one serving Indian food and the other part serving European food. So you’ll find a bar & grill menu as well as an Indian menu which I think is a bit over the top. It’s a nice building from the outside and nicely decorated inside with a large bar area(where you can sit and watch the football, which I also think is weird as it doesn’t really have a football pub vibe) and the restaurant space. On the right is the Indian restaurant but that is only open at night time, and we were there for lunch. The lunch menu is 2 courses for £8 which is ridiculously cheap. Honestly, I expected the food to be really average for that price but thankfully I was wrong. I went for the mixed pakora to start and a chicken korma for my main. The lunch menu has these two options as well as options from the bar & grill menu like burgers, fish & chips and pasta. The pakora was excellent, really fresh, light and crispy and I enjoyed all the varieties(chicken, mushroom and vegetable). I liked the korma too although I would have chosen a different curry for next time I visit as it was a little on the sweet side for me. The staff were friendly, the drinks were cheap and now that we’ve finally been, I can’t wait to go back to try the Indian restaurant for dinner.

Great to be back home in glasgow visiting my dear old ma. Me, wifey, 3 dustbins, 2 sisters and Bruv in law went to Zyka for dinner and a blether. This is a bar/restaurant in a purpose built area not far from the m77 in Newton Mearns. Didn’t know quite what to expect as I’m wary of these restaurants which seem to do ‘everything’. This is an Indian /European restaurant with a nice modern bar area with TVs which were showing Champions league footy. I know this will put some people off but there was no sound from them, no drunken fans shouting at the screens and you can’t see them from the restaurant area. We were served by a very nice waitress who was very attentive and knowledgable. Most of us went for the Indian menu and there were no complaints at all. Mum went for the piri piri chicken which she enjoyed too. The restaurant is obviously fairly new but it is very clean as are the toilets which is always a good sign. Meal for 3 kids, 6 adults, a few beers and bottle of wine and coffees came to £150. Only complaint if I was being picky was the cappuccino was luke warm. Overall a v pleasant night in good company, good food in surroundings with attentive, nice staff who were genuinely thankful for your custom.
