I have heard so many horror stories of people I know who used to work in here when they were younger and hated it due to the people who run it and the chefs treating them crap, which is something I am all too familiar with, but I will try to be impartial here! The building itself is traditional looking on the onside and the inside too, with olds style cushioned booths and corner seats the order of the day. There is a restaurant part but I have never eaten in it, I have just ate in the bar area which for me is good enough anyway as i can enjoy my food and drink in less of a sterile environment. The bar is well stocked, but is a tad on the dear side. The bar menu is typical pub stle grub, but instead of being the terrible, greased soaked kind, things here are a fair bit better, with my chunky chips and Cod being delightful, with the rich, crispy batter being complimented well by some excellent Tartar sauce. There is nothing remarkable about this place, but it provides a good facility as the local for many in the Moneyreagh area!
