The Chadderton Branch of TESCO is actually a nice size but still the isles of food were not as big as some stores, especially the nearby Oldham Tesco store on Huddersfield Road however they did have a good range of Stationary and Back to School clothing, a large amount of the store which can be noticed as you turn to go to the isles for food and drink is clothing, this is actually quite nice so you can get some clothes at quite a big range while you shop for groceries however at the moment most of it is back to school wear, so if you are not looking for that, dont expect to be spoilt for choice! I was disappointed with the lack of Frozen Free from goods here, which also was very small compared to the nearby Huddersfield Road Extra store, I understand this store is smaller but still it is quite a big store and you would expect a larger, less crammed Frozen Free from isle. The whole reason I came here was to look for Almondy Breeze Iced Coffees, As I had a coupon which I saw in The Metro Paper and this proves that smaller stores can be better stores if you need some specific items, The large Huddersfield Road Extra didn’t have them however this store has 10, 9 in Mocha, 1 in Cappucinio. I was delighted to see them! I spoke to a member of staff about this, asking if they had any more and he told me that they will be getting a delivery in the next few days after I cleared out the shelf and to try Middleton, Failsworth or Huddersfield Road branches for the items, 2 of the stores I had previously visited with no luck however it was the thought that counted and it was a wise estimate with the 3 nearby stores he reccomened all being of a larger or equal size than this store. Another member of staff who seemed good was the woman who was working at Scan it yourself, I had to do 10 different transactions with my 10 coupons to make sure all the drinks I got were free and she came running to vertify the coupons at the end of every transaction, she checked the coupon to confirm it was one per transaction and she did seem patient considering how many transactions I had to go through. The Petrol Price was quite good at just under £1.26 a lieter and it does go cheaper if you shop at tesco with their Fuel Saving of up to 20p a lieter depending on how much you spend in shops, Don’t worry if you only spend 49 pounds because if you go back and spend 51 pounds it will add up to 100 pounds and you will get 4p off a lieter and it will add up until you use it, this is only for Clubcard holders though but it is worth to get a Clubcard as they do send you coupons and vouchers depending on how much you spend as well as the petrol savings. Overall, this store is second best in the Oldham area due to the Huddersfield Road store being so much larger than this one but this is still a nice store so I give 3 stars to this Tesco.

This branch of Tesco was recently, and very significantly, expanded. A massive portion of the car park and other land was built over to create a monument to excess. The store offers good from every conceivable market sector, from electronics and entertainment to house decorations and hoovers. It also has it’s own in-house, massively overpriced, Starbucks coffee store hidden right at the back of the store in the far corner. To be honest, the store is far, far too big to comfortably get around for a regular shop. The entrance area is becoming more and more clogged two. When it first opened it was clean and welcoming, but as time goes in various promotions and product pushes are practically forcing themselves in front of each other, eventually out of the doors to the store completely. Other than the entrance being a mess of promotions, the store is very clean. To conclude, far too big, but sells practically everything!
