Don’t judge a book.
Despite its rather shabby looking exterior the interior and the food are the best I sampled in Paignton on my visit there.
The outside seating area was the perfect place to enjoy a pint with the view of the sea and the sun set.
I had one of the specials which the staff told me changes daily and is fish sourced from the local area.
I had a mackerel salad which was moderately priced and tasted delicious. My girlfriend had fish and chips which was also very good.
The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place to have dinner if your in the area.

Wir wollten am Abend nur noch einen Drink und eine Kleinigkeit zu uns nehmen und besuchten das Shoreline. Außer uns waren nur 4 Gäste da, trotzdem war es dem Service nicht möglich, innerhalb von 20 Minuten unsere Bestellung aufzunehmen, wir wurden komplett ignoriert und es wurden lieber die Thresen poliert.
Das «Shoreline biete zwar eine grandiose Aussicht und eine nette Karte am Service muss dringend noch gearbeitet werden !!!

Nice views across the bay, with nice décor and good food. Steps up are steep, and there is no lift as far as I know.

A café up above the water by the beach. I enjoyed a chilli burger and a bottle of Old Moggie, from the Teignworthy brewery.
As the whole building is pretty much constructed out of glass then it can be a bit of a greenhouse, even on sunny, but otherwise cold, days. The view can be awesome though, particularly from the narrow outside area.
They get all their food from local suppliers.

Amazing view, restaurant on the beach. But you pay for the view — the food, although really nice, is very expensive. The portions are huge — me and my boyfriend visited twice once for lunch and once for an evening meal and both times we were completely stuffed! On our first visit the place was not very busy, so we got one of the best tables — overlooking the sea! On the second visit we went for our evening meal and we sat inside and it was a lot busier that our previous visit and we knew the quality of the food was superb last time so we opted for the full on 3 course meal as it offers such good value for money here.
